I am grateful to all of you at Curlie for taking on the torch from DMOZ and continuing in the quest to organize the evolving web. When DMOZ was operating, their RDF data dumps were an invaluable resource. I was wondering if there are any plans to resume data dumps for Curlie too (RDF, XML, JSON, CSV files, ...)? HI, I have 2 questions, is there anywhere, the DMOZ data, but just the Spanish part? If I use these links as a "seed" to do my own web crawling am I still requiered to put the DMOZ copyright on the site? I mean these are just the links, without the description....

As you all know, DMOZ closed last month. And I want a copy of the DMOZ data before it closed. I searched DMOZ.org for the latest dump of the data but all it shows up is the "We're closed" page. Where could I get the latest dump before it closed? I'm creating a successor to DMOZ so I need this data. Also, is the content from this site, dmoztools.net, using the latest data dump or does it contain updates after the latest dump? Also, does dmoztools.net contain anything besides the latest dump?

Hi there i respect copyrights, and i would simply like to create a page in my personal free site that look as what is shown on the main page of: dmoztools.net/ What id like is to simply copy the "Art Icon" beside the text (Arts/Movies/Television/Music...). Then the url link as shown as: (Arts/Movies/Television/Music...) Same thing for the icon "Computer Screen", beside the text (Computers/Internet/Software/Hardware...) The content file for June 5, 2016 is broken. Decompressing fails with a message saying "Unexpected end of file." The displayed file size on the site is 84 MB, sames as the downloaded file size, which seems too low. I tried falling back to a previous version in the archive folder. But the archive folder does not contain any files after 2011-03-08. Can DMOZ please fix this error, and restore the archived files for the missing years? Thanks a lot!

A brief introduction to Curlie (DMOZ) data, the subject of this forum: Curlie Data is currently unavailable due to technical issues, we'll post here when it's back online. What? The content of the directory is available for download in a RDF format... The use of the data is free, but subject to the terms of our License. When? Hi There, My RDF import routine is blowing-up with an invalid character error at column 22 of row 20723075 in this week's (11th Nov 2012) RDF content data file. Column 22 is after the close angle bracket of the <d:Description> row, "14e..." but it looks OK to me. Any thoughts... Why we can't see some websites in the latest RDF dump (23-Oct-2011), while it can be found by using the DMOZ search feature? In addition, some of these websites are already exist in the both of old RDF dump (25-Oct-2010) and by the DMOZ search, like gmjournal.net, but it can't be found in the latest version. Not only that, but there is some websites that even can't be found neither in the latest RDF version nor the oldest one, but it does by DMOZ search, like nonviolence.org. This is the weirder issue I ever seen!! How you may explain that?

Hi There, I'm sorry if I'm being a bit dense but what does this mean?... "2010-02-25 There has been a decision in the release of DMOZ 2.0 that we would go back and use the DMOZ 1.0 ontology. This means that we will no longer deliver the 2.0 ontology folder and there will be the single delivery. Always watch this file should the editors decide to have new ontology some time in the future. For the timebeing, this is the files as delivered. " Are you ditching the 2.0 structure? Bye for now Jason.
