Hi, I just applied to become editor of this category: http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Arts_and_Entertainment/Sports/Scouting_and_Sports_Agents/ On the category Description page, there is a link to International Agents. When I click on the link, it returns "Page does not exist...". I think this would be a good idea to have this category, but I wanted to let you know about the error. Thanks, Rob

The category: "Shopping: Antiques and Collectibles, radios" states that the category is for sites selling parts and radio related stuff, but if the site also sells radios, it should be listed in the following category instead: Shopping: Antiques and Collectibles, radios That's the same category. Hi all, perhaps someone can help enlighten me here? I search for my site using my name "Arthur_Abon" (please replace the underscore with a space - just put it there to emphasize). My listing comes up as existing, but when I click on the category it is listed in - it's not there. I assumed that the editors took me out and asked them nicely as to why they did it. Apparently, there was something that happened with the data and my site was one of the ones taken out. It was suggested that I re-submit my listing (which I did). I'm having trouble logging in to my Dmoz editor account (username rcade). I had my password sent to me in e-mail, which worked, but when I try to log in it keeps asking me for my username and password. Can anyone help?

Even though there are several entries for "BirdBreath": http://dmoz.org/News/Analysis_and_Opinion/Columnists/Humor/Weblogs/ http://dmoz.org/Arts/Comics/Comic_Strips_and_Panels/B/ I can not find it with the Search option. I just was reinstated as an editor (andrewm), yeah! I logged in to editors.dmoz.org, changed my pwd, submitted a catergory request, etc. But I clicked on the [edited].dmoz.org link to declare those, was asked for another login, and neither my changed nor my original pwd work.

I was surfing a category today and found several keyword stuffed titles, pointing to several made-for-adsense sites that all belong to the same person (same adsene account) who I believe is also the editor of the category. After poking around, checking out the source code, looking up whois info, etc, I clicked on "report abuse" and got a 404. I'd hate to waste the time I spent checking out the sites. Is there an alternate method of reporting abuse until the technical difficulties are sorted out? Thanks!

Hi, I tried to email staff@dmoz.org in order to ask for a listing to be amended, but my email bounced back - it had forwarded to an AOL mailbox, and said mailbox was reportedly full, hence the bounce. I have sent my amendment in now via the "update listing" link, although it was not my submission originally. Please inform me if I should send this information elsewhere for you to check. You'll notice (when you go to post if not before) that we've upgraded the forum's software from 3.0.x to 3.5.3. The upgrade seems to have gone well but if you notice any problems, post them here in this thread and we'll check 'em out later on this weekend.

I want to submit my site. I found the appropriate category to submit it to @ http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Chats_and_Forums/ , but i guess submitting URLs are down right now? Am i missing something? All those post about status of mywebsite.com; are those the threads to actually submit? I see no link that works to actually submit. I've just been reading through archive material about the discontinuation of the automated status checking service. As a relative newcomer to DMOZ I have not had the chance to experience this service. However, I guess that applicants filled in an html form, indicating which site submission they were inquiring about. Hi all. In the portuguese section there seems to be some problems submitting a new website. I recently was turned down for an editor position because the category already had an editor. I would like to suggest some type of indicator of whether a category has an open editor position, perhaps an icon, or when you click to apply for the category a box saying there are no open positions at this time. As it is now, its a complete waste of time for people to apply only to find out there are no openings in the category they are applying for. Very frustrating, and it also deters you from wanting to apply for another category only to be told the same thing. Thoughts? Geoserv.
