Saying hello and reading the posts. Seems like a lot of complaints (sometimes disguised as questions). However, I like the administrator commenting since it makes me feel like I am seeing expert opinion instead of rambling (like I am doing now). I am hoping to learn something!

Why can't we get our site listed anywhere? We have a genuine free UK recruitment site that is completely free to both job seekers and recruiters. If we try to get it listed with the various search engines nothing seems to happen (it would appear you only get listed if other sites link to your site!). If we send email to just about anyone these todays the email gets spam filtered or lost in the sea of garbage emails from fake or virus sending sites. "The world has gone crazy", we are offering a completely free site with no catches and we can't seem to be able to tell anyone about it! Anyone have any useful suggestions?

I've been trying to get my site listed in the DMOZ since 2005. I haven't given up yet. Instead of submitting my site and patiently waiting month after month without any idea if my submission has been read and denied or not read at all, I've decided to take a more proactive stance. My site is I've been putting a lot of thought into this site and cut out a lot of useless stuff and made a great 2008 design (you must take a look!). I think I am now at a point where people are really beginning to enjoy the experience. Visitors are staying around longer and viewing more pages than before. Google gave my site a high pagerank and I believe it will only get higher on the next update. I submitted my site for DMOZ inclusion awhile back but I think the site is so much better now than it was before because of the new 2008 design in place. I know it's bad to resubmit again if I never got a reply. I was hoping that DMOZ editors reading this post could take…
