We recently learned that long-time Open Directory meta editor and Resource-Zone super moderator brmehlman passed away on January 1, 2009. I am guessing that posts made before one switches groups don't change when one does switch.

I don't know if this is the right forum to post my question. Last month, my website is showing on Google SERPS as http://domain.netfirms.com/ . But last week, Google made a major crawl and it became http://www.domain.netfirms.com/ . Why does this happen? I read many articles that Google recognize this pages as different URLs. I have more inbound links for non-www version and it have higher PR which is 1 compare to 0 with the www version. Because of this, the non-www versions should be listed. I can't do a 301 redirect because my host don't support it. It's hard for me to change and pay for new host. Please, if anyone knows how to resolve this problem, I'll greatl…

My ISP has a problem with one the routers. If you are having timeouts on page loads then you are more than likely affected by this. It seems to be affecting anyone that connects from the west coast of the U.S. and most that access from other countries. This is out of my control. I have contacted the ISP and they assure me they are working on the problem. Sorry about any inconvenience.

Could those of you who have a link to a photo or image of yourself in your profile please check that it's a reasonable size? 5k is plenty good enough for a nice image to show up next to your posts. But there are some way bigger than that. Have pity on us on puny 56K modems (or slower) users! Seeing the big picture can more than double time time it takes to browse a thread. Thanks!
