In May I submitted this site to this category Business: Industries: Manufacturing: Casting, Molding, Machining: Plating and Metal Finishing A month or two later I used the feedback form to see if I had the correct category. The customer took a closer look at the available categories and told me he believes there should be a new category and sent me a (rather long) description of why. I’ll paste that below. I sent this using the feedback form sometime in August. I don’t remember which editor it went to (This was before I new about this forum). Hello, I was recently told about marketing our site in dmoz.org. When I did a search, I found that we are listed in Regional: North America: United States: Georgia: Localities: M: Marietta: Business and Economy: Shopping: Furniture (I am not sure how we got there ??) However, I believe we would be better suited in a main category such as http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Furniture/Seating/ The only problem we have is that our company is geared toward commercial sales, not neccesarily Home_and_Garden. Dear Sirs, After monitoring the ODP daily I saw that http://www.companiesmadesimple.com/ was listed under the http://dmoz.org/Business/Business_Services/Consulting/Business_Formation/United_Kingdom/ catagory. It lasted only for a day and has not appeared since. The site was previously sited on a non UK server, but is now hosted in the UK. I'm ready to pull my hair out!! I have tried repeatedly over the last couple of years to get our web address updated in the DMOZ directory. I have never heard a word from anyone about it. For the first year, I submitted my new address info every couple of months. Then, someone told me that it would look like I was spamming and would go to the bottom of the line. Anyway, I quit doing that and haven't submitted anything for quite some time. Our site hasn't been updated to this day.
