Curlie currently suffers from two importantish bugs: The Editor feedback system is down - this also means that the email verification doesn't work and blocks us from opening new accounts. For Editor Applications, as a workaround, we can contact you via ordinary email to ensure it was really you who applied. For Public Accounts (Personal Pages) the system is entirely automated. We can't even see these applications, so no workaround is possible. Our second problem is our servers aren't stable, and have a tendency to throw 504 errors (time-out) . We've added a new feature on our public pages; Sort... It's a toggle on the right of each category page and so far has two positions: Sort Alphabetically (this is how DMOZ/Curlie always sorted the listings, operates on the Title of the site) Sort by Review Date (this new means of sorting places the most recently added listings at the top of the page)

How do I prevent the Curlie edit URL screen from replacing spaces in URLs with + characters? This modification of the URL produces an undesirable result in the linked page. Is it possible to force the screen to accept the URL as I have entered it?

I am grateful to all of you at Curlie for taking on the torch from DMOZ and continuing in the quest to organize the evolving web. When DMOZ was operating, their RDF data dumps were an invaluable resource. I was wondering if there are any plans to resume data dumps for Curlie too (RDF, XML, JSON, CSV files, ...)? Press the return key. Exepected: Show the search results for "test". Error: An error page is shown: "The page you attempted to access does not exist on this site.". Reason (IMHO): The "action" of the search form is relative to the current URL. Oh boy am I happy to find Curlie! I've been getting rather frustrated lately in that the web has become a boring dystopic waste land of corporate wannabe's, and all of the personal flavor that was supposed to make the WWW fun is being lost. We all knew AOL wasn't the benevolent dictator it pretended to be, and DMOZ's demise was tragic and inevitable. Alone on the web, trying to use Google to find anything interesting is pointless these days. It is essentially just a yellow pages listing now, and there is very little personal or beautiful works of websites to be found through there.
