Hi after Applying and refused to be an editor due to the very poor listing quality of the following Category:- http://www.dmoz.org/Sports/Motorsports/Auto_Racing/Tracks/Europe/Germany/ Is there any chance an editor can make it a priority as the area has gone through some major renovation and the listed sites are either defunct or not up to date. Can someone please tell me how to go about this... At one time my business was involved in footwear and was listed under the appropriate name and category. Recently I requested that my category and name be changed and to advise that the footwear business (Big Star Sandy) was now inactive. As you will see the url has remained the same all along. We had a site listed at dmoz. After a redesign of our site the url changed, and i recently found out that our site was removed from the list. I already tried to update the data over the dmoz site, but it gives an error that the old url cannot be found. Should I resubmit the site? Or what is the best way to get the site listed again?

My site <url removed> has been in the ODP directory for over 3 years now. The description needs be updated, and I submitted the update form a few times over the last year and their was no update. I decided not to push it, out of fear that my site would be removed. Is there a solution or should I just let it go?

Hello, I've recently submited a dog site to the dmoz directory and at that time I didn't have any intention of changing the domain, however I ended up buying a smaller and simpler domain for the site I submitted. I know in the submission guidelines it says that you don't accept sites that redirect so what should I do? Should I submit the new domain or wait until the older one is listed and then modify the submission (this will probably take a long time:rolleyes:). What is you guy's advice. Many moons ago I submitted my site for inclusion in the following categories: Top: Business: Management: Supply Chain Top: Computers: Software: Manufacturing: Supply Chain Management For some reason my site was listed in Dmoz (for which I'm eternally grateful) in a totally different category, which was: Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: England: Derbyshire: Dronfield Can someone advise how I switch my site in to the more relevant categories please? Hi Guys maybe you can help me May ask for a little advice. I resubmitted our kids attraction search site (URL removed per Forum Terms of Service) months ago and although i took great care in filling out the information (in category-removed as irrelevant) a year has now gone by since we originally submitted then resubmitted. It says there is an editor but I have tried emailing the editor of this group but its says no such editor. and i'm stuck as to how to get my listing sorted. In fact i can't seem to contact any editor I'm sure you are all very busy but if ANYONE could help me with this submission i would be incredibly grateful. (Sig block removed)

Here I would like to share from my experience, I have submitted a lot of dead links under Report Hijacks, Dead Links, Inappropriate ODP Content, and other issues here ONLY. I noticed that within some hours any editor done/remove that link from list and also replied in forum. But, if you will check the categories "General ODP Issues" and "Suggesting a Site" then you will find that most editors/moderators/administrators replied to people that submitted/suggested site can take years to add. I could not understand this sense that editors are present for removing a site but not present to add a site. May be I am wrong

For the past several years I've made some applications to http://Dmoz.org to be listed in the directory --alike many webmasters. Because being listed in DMOZ to the fact means higher SERP in http://Google.com and http://Yahoo.com or http://Bing.com. I could not understand the sense of 2 discussion subjects, General ODP Issues:- I didn't read a single reply from Admin, Editors to feedback in positive. I mean to say if I will say to check the category like "Top: Business" to edit then I will get reply, "any editor will check whenever he will get time". Hello there, I am just wondering if there is an editor for the East African region, i.e. responsible for Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and South Sudan. I dont know whether that may help to explain why none of the sites I submit never makes it to the directory in the last 3 years or so. I have also noted that over about the same period, the total number of links for each of the first 5 of those countries is either around the same or has gone back in this period. I'm new to ODP; that being said, "everything" looks like a landmine! I'm having a problem in the initial setup page in changing the category for my URL. When I initially selected the category I have now, ODP setup warned that the particular category could not be used for services; however, in "back-paging" my (new) host provider now only says "you've already selected a category for ODP." Unfortunately, if I say to proceed, I am certain ODP referees will call "foul" and I will be placed in the penelty box, as it were. Can anyone assist this "newbie" out? Thanks. gds*

If it was rejected you'll never know why, if it was approved you'll never know unless you constantly check. 2) We don't care that you have no insight into the process, we like it that way.
