I was told that the decision of the editor is final. But what if content of the website changes? Please, explain me what if I suddenly deside to make it for instance a porn site on http://www.loversorfriends.com will in still remain in chats and forums?

First, please know this is NOT a complaint. I'm aware of the incredible amount of data which flows to/through DMOZ, and appreciate what the staff there does. But I need help because I've "done all the right things" to get my site Description line changed (the one that's picked up by Google) and it still hasn't changed. Right now my site's description includes a service I haven't provided for at least six years, "mature market public relations." My business, today, is 100% "crisis management and training." I've submitted requests for change to DMOZ three times over the past two years, using the appropriate form at the DMOZ site, but to no avail. Am I doing something …

I have a site in a directory that is suddenly being broken down into numerous subcategories (by State). There does not appear, at least on the surface, to be a whole lot of rhyme or reason to the placement of existing sites into the sub-categories. I understand that it might make sense to break down by State, but I do not understand the criteria being used. It is obvious that not all those listed in the higher levels of this category are being moved into State sub-categories, while some of those being moved into State subcategories offer information that would appear appropriate to higher levels. I have a site listed in DMOZ and I am changing the free host account to another provider. I do not want the DMOZ listing of the old host account as they have started to add spam advertising everywhere. How can I get an updated listing in DMOZ showing the new hosted address? Thanks

Hello, I had to change my blog's URL. My blog is currently listed as AllThingsFinancial (<url deleted>. I need to change the name to AllFinancialMatters and the URL to <url deleted>. Hi, We are in the submission process with ODP, in the queue, so to speak. However, we have decided to change our business name and also the url. How can I notify ODP of this change? We are going to have traffic redirected from our old site to our new url for the new month or so, but have not set this up as of yet. Is that redirect going to cause big problems? We want to save our old url as we plan to use it for another unrelated facet of our business in the future. Can anyone help? Is there a way to get my description changed? I own Announce It! search engine submission services and it's listed under premium services A. Right now the description reads "Offers submission services." I am not asking for the world, but would just like to ask if it can be changed to "Provides search engine submission services." Good Evening, After e-mailing an administrator I noticed that he prefers to be emailed only through the forums. We have been trying to remove our site <URL Removed> from the dmoz directory for some time. It does not appear that our category has an editor and while we love DMOZ we dont feel that being in the directory is of benefit to our company at this time. Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right section to ask in, let me know if it's not. Our site was submitted to the ODP about 4-5 months ago and it got in but my friend managed to miss-spell the description and it really bugs me now to see "Description: Portal and forum to discus security issues" everywhere. Hello all - I'm new here I was wondering (can't see anything quite about this in the Help section) how I can go about requesting a change to the two categories our two websites are listed in? They're both in categories that aren't quite accurate, and there are better categories for each of them. They were submitted a long time ago, so it's bound to be our fault entirely they're in the wrong place, but it would be great if we could figure out a way to rectify this and get them in the right place. My website http://www.handmadepaper.com was placed in http://www.dmoz.com/Business/International_Business_and_Trade/Import_and_Export/Handicrafts/ category as Salims Handmade Paper - Manufactures handmade paper and paper products. But Some on has Removed the hyperlink and placed a new one of http://www.kagzipaper.com/. I think This is pure example of cheating. Can Moderators will try to look into the matter.

Our site has just been listed in one of the regional sections related to online dating. Having just found on here a thread pointing to the fact that if a category does not have an editor this does not mean new sites won't get list there I have made an update request (via the form). Hi, I understand that status report on a submission is not available and I would not want to pester anyone. I do have a problem though, in that I submitted our website a while ago and am hoping to be included, - but I cannot recall what catagory I submitted to. I first submitted my site in early 2004 and I do understand that it takes time to have a site reviewed. I have asked once before if my site has been reviewed a year ago and had no reply. I am patient and know that many sites are under review but would just like to know if my site has ever crossed anyones eyes. At first I tried to add the URL in the directory when I only registered the web sites. They were almost empty. That time I understood why my suggestion has been refused. Question 1 Does the submission rule that states "Do not submit any site with an address that redirects to another address" include domain names that redirect to home pages? Not for the intent to hide the actual address. Just for the purpose of having an address that is easier to remember. Question 2 I have one site at present that sells a product in bulk to a specific group of businesses. However, I plan to have a second site that sells the same product but in small quantities to individuals. The two sites would look very much alike and belong in the same category, but in different sub/categories. Would this be considered mirroring?
