I'm posting to this forum in regards to a new site in which I've made. I'll never be finished adding data to the site, however I think this site has enough content to be listed in the directory. My site's URL is http://www.vgindex.com/ and the title is "The Video Game Index" It basically covers cheat codes, release data, company data, platform data, and box cover graphics for 79 distinct platforms and over 55,300 games. I am adding content all the time, and I plan on adding much more content including screenshots and gameshark/game genie codes as well as any other data I can find. Hello guys. I recently submitted our "For Sale By Owner" site under the the "/Shopping/Classifieds/Real_Estate/". The site is HomesbyLender.com . We help sellers by giving them free online classified ads and FSBO signs in markets where we are currently represented. The service is free because each market is run by mortgage companies. I am so confused I have been trying to get my sit included for over a year now. Still Nothing. Yet I see others who are direct competition getting included no problem. I know it is the right category and would really like someone to help me PLEASE. How do you know if the category you are trying to suggest a site to has an active editor? Hi and thanks for reading. I have read over the rules and FAQ, in addition to the posts here but I can't find a specific answer. If Mr A. person (a.k.a ME) submits a site to DMOZ what happens to that submission. I know that an editor comes along and may review my site eventially, but then what. I can see two senarios happening. One, they include it. Two they disregard it. If they include it in the directory, fine, Mr. A is happy. Life goes on. If they don't include it, does the submission get "deleted" off "the" list? Meaning Mr A.Person never knows and continues to wait. (Of course, life still goes on..) But because it's been almost a year I thought that I have sent it to the wrong category and I re send it to other ones. I made a site submission for Dmoz inclusion on the day that your site submit came back online after your recent technical problems , i can appreciate that Dmoz submissions can and do take some time , but ive recently just noticed that the category that i have submitted to hasn't been edited by an editor for approximately five months , i was checking the Dmoz Directory on a regular basis to see if my submission had been included , but on seeing the last edit date , well , lets just say that its a hopeless effort and a complete waste of time , i have read a lot of bad press about Dmoz over the past few months , most of which are written allegations about Dmoz being corrupt …

Hi there, My website is http://www.PrintsMadeEasy.com . I have been listed in the directory for over 1 month now but I still am not found within their "search". Do you know why this would be happening? Also, the amount of traffic has not budged an inch since I finally got listed in the DMOZ. Do you think I should expect an increase in traffic to my website for the keyword "business cards". I was hoping that the fact that "PrintsMadeEasy" is not found within the DMOZ search also means that the database has not propagated to other engines using the database. Hi. I have been working at least for 2 years on <URL deleted> and for my experience a tourism site is a never ending task. I have been submiting my site to Dmoz for over a year and have never had any result. My site has never been included. I would like to know if anyone here can see or identify a possible problem with my site, not good quality, bad content, anything that would help me solve the problem and be able to get listed. The site is: Adde Enterprises, Inc. http://www.adde-inc.com They started as one site (dyjewels.com) and now have incorporated this company with divisions and different companies. So the site above is more or less there portal. They have offices in Toronto, ON (Canada)... New York, NY... Las Vegas, NV and now Los Angeles, CA for their various companies. So I have no idea what regional cat I would submit it too, or for that matter what shopping category site?? Hello all, My categories of metal detecting never get updated, there are more and more dead sites with 404 pages and other that have just turned into spam sites? Is there anyone that could update these categories? I did apply for admin some time ago now but got turned down. Many sites claim that they can verify my DMOZ web site submission that we had made over 9 months ago. I've search threw the DMOZ directory for extended periods of time. I still do not find our site listing yet I'm being "listed in DMOZ" by "site that verify our listing" in DMOZ.

Ooooooops ! sorry to the editors I checked to see if my two domaims were listed yet (<urls removed>) but they were not ? So, I thought I would submit them again yesterday, and selected TWO relevant catagories for each domain. I since read 'them rulez' properly and realised I should submit to ONE relevant cataegory only. Please delete the most inappropiate category submission for each domain, sorry and thank you

We have one of our sites listed in DMOZ, but there are other sections of the site (virtually sites in their own right) that I believe would justify having a separate entry in DMOZ. From what I have read, this practice is acceptable. Is that correct? We have www.domain-here.co.uk listed currently but would like to add www.domain-here.co.uk/thisloadofservices and www.domain-here.co.uk/thatloadofservices both in different categories. The site is large and each section consists of several hundred pages - all the content is unique, and each section has unique content. Dear ODP Editors, while ago I have requested from editor to update my description on my website that is listed on DMOZ, but I have noticed editor changed my domain name from bachelorvegas.com to vegasvip.com . This is Xavi from JBE Joier - LLadro from Spain. We had been submitted in "Recreation: Collecting: Figurines: Lladro" category during more than a year and now few months ago we had been dropped. Hello, My name is Markus and I have submitted our site for inclusion several times over the past year but still have not been listed. The website url is <url removed> , it is a BitTorrent index/listing site (http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/File_Sharing/BitTorrent/Torrent_Directories_and_Trackers/). On that page there is a list with some good and many bad links, our site should be included because we offer a very good service to our users. I just wish to know how long should we wait before resubmitting a site (www.samui-holiday.com) in a category which has no editor (Regional: Asia: Thailand: Provinces: Surat Thani: Koh Samui).
