Finally, after 13 months, an editor had a look at my site last week. I just hope he was not using Firefox as a very small HTML problem prevented the site from showing on Firefox but not on other browsers. I am through the waiting for an editor to visit. Now the waiting is whether the site will be listed or not. I hope it gets listed. Please.... Thanks to the editor who took time to visit my site.

The money will make all difference if you get listed or rejected. I have found it and submitted evidence for editor’s review! Nothing in respond, just ignorance. One website has 39!!! Listing with subdomaines in most cases just with one page!!! And there is no one in this world that will tell me otherwise: the DMOZ directory is corrupted. P.S. I’m sure that this post will be removed asap by one of the editor as well

Hi there, I have submitted some blogs from a very important organization in Latin America and I need to know what is the next step after submitted the sites. How long does it take in order for the Dmoz.org team to approve them? Please let me know becasue I need to give them the status of this project and I don't have any clue of where is the content, how can I check it, how can I edit it if we need it, and when is going to be online. Hello, I submitted my URL about a week or two ago and haven't received a confirmation from you. Is there any way to know where "dmoz" is in the process of reviewing my site? or if it is currently being reviewed? I'm doubting since I haven't received an email saying "We received your submission and are currently processing it. This may take ?1-2 weeks." Or something of the sort. Thanks for your help. jlcone

I have buy a domain name which was related to Adult contents few years ago. The new website which is not related to adult contents was launched in february, I have done Two update requests in the appropriate category, but the domain and the old description are still indexed in dmoz. Is there an other way to remove a domaine from dmoz ? (in this case, title, description and category are wrong : the previous indexed website is dead since 3 years) Many thanks for your help

I have tried to suggest a url for one of my customers and i cannot get past the submission screen - it returns "please select a UK site" but cannot find what that means and where to do it. I have chosen the approrpiate category (i thought) as follows because they are a B&B in Alnwick Northumberland and all the competitors are listed in it. Category: Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: England: Northumberland: Alnwick: Travel and Tourism: Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast can anyone help please? Martin

I initially did not see that there was spanish as an option for submitting sites. I therefore submitted my sites under the correct category, but under english options. As I later learned there was a spanish section, I proceeded to submit both my sites in the correct spanish language sections. I did not do this intentionally and would like to remove the submission of my sites, <url removed> and <url removed> from the english categories. Unfortunately, I never received email notifying me of any problems. What I would like to avoid is that DMOZ thinks I am spamming in several languages, so that I might not get listed at all, ever. I submitted my site in December of 2010. I did not receive a confirmation email that it was submitted or any page showing the submission was successful. My competitors are all listed in the database. My worry is that I did not correctly submit my site. If I submitted it properly would I receive any confirmation? I do not want to resubmit and prolong the process. Any suggestions on how I can find out if my site was properly submitted? If there is no way to find out if it was properly submitted what should I do? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Hi, I have waited about 5 years now for our site to be added, and over that time I have watched the category grow stronger and larger with competitors that are only a couple years old. About 3-4 years ago the editor of the category told me that we were not approved because they believed another site belonged to us as well (which was included in the directory already). This site was actually a forum/site that we were the main sponsor of for a year. We haven't been the sponsor for this site for about 4 years now though. Hello all. I understand and have read the rules about Dmoz for many years. I had a site successfully listed a long time ago - number 1 in its search results for its subject - and for no reason I can fathom at all it was removed from Dmoz a couple of years ago. It ticks all the Dmoz boxes for inclusion so I'm puzzled as to why it's gone. Have re submitted it a few times - not too often :-) - and no result. Do the Editors just randomly delete sites sometimes?

I submitted my Site for inclusion into DMOZ <URL removed> several years ago and I simply have no idea whether my application has been rejected or still awaiting review. I appreciate that editors work hard to keep DMOZ running which is why I have not asked before. Are there any editors that can help me?

Hi there, Since I submitted my site, last January I updated the meta tags and the content. I also modified my TLD. I'm Just waiting now to be admitted/denied. Does the editor check the website with the actual content or he looks a cache version of the website?. I just found this forum after lot of research and I wish that I could have done my homework before submitting the site back in January. I would have found very useful information. Since you don't want specific mentions of websites here, not as easy to describe my problem. But here goes anyway. I have researched, written a book about a heretofore UNWRITTEN about aspect of a topic that is not only old (existed long before the internet, decades before), but classic. My website is a spin-off of that book. If any of your editors know about library classification and CIP Data (Cataloguing in Publication), CIP data for my book managed to do a beautiful job of assigning topics and sub-topics to the frontmatter of the book. How do I go about reaching your Games editor directly to advocate for adding a topic?
