Like others I have tried to get a description changed on my website that really works for me. Since relevance is determined by keywords in the title and description I have been trying to get my keywords included in my description, without success. My catagory is: Shopping:Home and Garden: Swimming Pools and Spas: chemicals. A good description would be: A non-chlorine algae control product using copper and silver ionization to prevent algae in swimming pools, koi ponds, hot tubs, or spas. Any help or suggestions on how I can get my description changed would be appreciated. Thank you.

I submitted my site and the editor said "After logging in, I noticed you do not have a submission pending review. This might be due to multiple submissions or submissions in the wrong category." I submitted it again, and asked her if it was pending review. I never got a email back so I sent another a few days later, and there still wasn't a response. Anyone have any suggestions? I really want to get my site listed in DMOZ. I submitted it again if anyone wants to help me out and check on the status, and maybe keep me updated that would be really appreciated. I didn't realize when I started that it was a task in itself getting listed here. I'm just hopeing the outcom…

I'm confused on an issue. It seems to me that there's something very unfavorable going on in the ODP and maybe someone here can help me out. Salutations! I am the webmaster of a Pagan website. I submitted my site to the following category well over a year ago: Society: Religion and Spirituality: Esoteric and Occult I checked back a few months later and found that it has not been added there or anywhere else on ODP. im very curious as to why its been 9 years and they still havent changed the desciption of my website...i have written many times to the "editors" of that category with no response... i do not re-submit my site, ever.. i understand the overwriting each time you submit.. but a simple request to change the description of my site would be nice.. especially since i stopped selling those items 9 years ago... my site is completely different now... 9 years.. 9.... do you see where my frustration lies? Hello, I would like to turn this domain, http://www. © .com/, into a open directory project like dmoz or in association with. I have alot of friends that are artists, poets and writers, including myself and the problem of copyright infringement is huge. My vision is similar to the "Library of Congress" except on the net and free. What do you see as potential pitfalls in making this happen? I originally submitted my site to http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Full_Service/M/ and after checking the status http://resource-zone.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=57259&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 I was told that it was moved to basic and still pending. We submitted our site "glasses2you.co.uk" almost 2 months ago and still we are not listed. Can anyone give me a reason for this? Hi all, I carefully read the submission guidelines, but I still have some questions... We have a German website www.partyboerse.net. Our website provides information for two (?) categories : first it provides local party-dates (for south-germany), second we provide a (of course non-regional) software on our website so it would be nice to be listed in a software categorie. Hello I was just looking in the DMOZ directories for my site <url removed> I can see it has been removed and would like to know why? What we find irritating is that between DMOZ and Google if they choose not to list you then Google page rank will be affected. Page rank determines whether Google takes more of your URL's from your sitemap. Google uses DMOZ. So we have a site with 700,000 URLs+ we have a page rank of 2, we have hundreds of "one way backlinks to us" and a high hit rate, but we still have not been listed DMOZ and Google chooses to take its sweet time to crawl our URLs, after 4 years Google has crawled exactly 1/10th of the URLs in our sitemap. " - News article about NewHoo purchase It seems now adays DMOZ has turned into yahoo. DMOZ does a fair job better than Yahoo but it has somewhat turned into the monster it wanted to fight. I have been trying for two years to get listed in dmoz, I submit my site according to the terms and conditions, I have never been notified of rejection or acceptance, I however do search for my site and nothing comes up. There are those large retailers who get listed instantly, but for some reason small business such as mine, seem to take a back seat to others. I am having such a hard time getting my www.temecula-real-estate.com site listed. I have had an editor tell me they thought it was a mirror of my Hemet site until I told them it was a site for a seperate office in Temecula, then he agreed it belonged.
