Dear Dmoz Members / Editors I've been checking in daily to see if our submission has been approved, after reading various forums, I now realize that some categories could take many weeks or even months before a submission will be reviewed. 1. Does smaller categories take longer to get reviewed? For example: Africa > Business and Economy > Agriculture... there are many useful websites (companies, resources, products etc), yet only three listings appear. 2. Hi Sorry I can't see an area to post category suggestions: I'd like to suggest a site to go into Top: Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: England: Health: Complementary and Alternative but my area isn't listed below this, and I can't submit it into the UK generally as the site is currently relevant to one city only. Could you add the county of 'Hampshire' please, so I can submit my site for consideration - unless I've missed another way to do this? Many thanks for your help

I am looking to post our site to the DMOZ, and we are a specialist in teaching Business to Artists.... which is kinda rare, but I didn't think it was so rare that there would not be a business/ arts education category It is super important for Artists to know they are actual small businesses, and they need a special sort of business education which most business education providers just cannot provide. Hello DMOZ editing team, After, (I think) this time, fully respected the guidelines of submitting a website, I'm dropping you this message to have some information about the concerned category. However, please let me inform you that some of the websites in that particular category are now non-existent. That's why, even though my submission is very fresh, I would like to ask you if that category is still being edited? I have submitted my website about once every 4-6 months to allow editors to have the chance to review my website but nothing is going on. I have waited for a notification to approve or even decline my website: but i got nothing. Finally and after many tries i decided to Buy a listing in DMOZ but i thought this message might help others to say their thoughts and share their experience with DMOZ approval. Anyone help me approve my website for free?

I submitted the site <url removed per forum tos> to the Society ... Transgendered ... Male to Female ... Shopping ... Breast Prosthesis category in June 2001. I later noticed that there was no editor for that category so I resubmitted the site to the higher level category - Society ... Transgendered ... Male to Female on August 20, 2001. At that time there was an editor for this category. I noticed later the editor disappeared. Please let me know if there is a problem with this site. Thank you.

I was wondering if you could tell me if I submitted my website to the right category of DMOZ because I think it was the most relevant in my niche. Hello everyone I'm Trying to add our Website on dmoz since 2002 and from that time we didn't get any luck to be listed i have even registered in this forums hack in 2005 i think the forums was vbulletin that time before moving to XenForo the username still here i saw it but forget the password Adding a website to dmoz has become almost impossible I know that it's not the only me who ask the same question, but there are hundreds the one big issue after we submit a website we do not receive any feedback if it get accept or unaccepted and if unaccepted WHY at least this will help as to fix the issue if there is any wrong with the website etc so …

I'll like to know the best category to suggest a site having a set of Unicode Conversion Tools, as the tool converts Indic fonts so, I thought the best category was: Computers/Software/Globalization/Character_Encoding/Indic/Unicode/ or there is a better category, as the site wasn't included in this category.

Hopefully someone can help me. Pretty please. Question 1: I have looked into adding the company I work for under the Furniture category. However, under this category the sub-categories do not include one that is the "best" fit. We sell Living Room Furniture, Dining Furniture, Bedroom Furniture, Home Office Furniture, and Patio Furniture. The "best" sub-category that I can determine which would be the "best" fit is "Home Furniture". However, this is not listed and the options of Bedroom, Office, Seating, Tables, or Patio are not really encompassing of what we actually carry. Hello, I submitted my site to DMOZ almost a year ago. About two to three months ago I checked a DMOZ checker on the web and it showed that my site was listed in DMOZ. Man was I happy. I went to the DMOZ site and did a search for my site and nothing came up. I then searched several DMOZ checkers on the internet and all of them showed that my site is listed in DMOZ.
