Hello Everyone, moderators please help I want to understand one thing..I went to dmoz and scanned through it and went to the category , i was looking to submit my website but strangely none of the sites listed were exactly related to the category. How can i list my website their since my website is exactly related to category . Can anyone help me with it..even if my website is 1% away from category , i would not list my site.. its exactly to what dmoz category suggests. Society->Religion_and_Spirituality->Hinduism->Chats_and_Forums/ please check none of them are forum in this category, maximum are yahoo groups. i have forum in this category. please help…

Hi, I made a site suggestion on 21 December 2014. I now realize that the category I have chosen might not be the best one and I noticed a better category today. I originally submitted in; Regional: Asia: Indonesia: Provinces: Bali: Travel and Tourism: Travel Services. I wish to change the business listing and add it to; Regional: Asia: Indonesia: Provinces: Bali: Business and Economy: Shipping, Storage, and Logistics. What is the proper way to go forward? Shall I ; a) request my 21 December 2014 submission to be cancelled and resubmit? b) just resubmit a second time? c) ... ? Thank you P.s. Happy to supply the domain name if needed

DMOZ, We were very surprised today to discover that our national organization ALIPAC (founded 9/11 2004) had been removed from your directory. While several of our political opposition's sites, and a few of our allies sites, remain on DMOZ our primary website is no longer on your very important and influential directory. We also checked and all of our secondary websites are now missing from the DMOZ directory as well. <removed> keeps getting added and removed from dmoz. It's in the correct place and a legitimate business. Is there a reason why dmoz editors cannot decide whether to keep or remove this site from the directory? I would kindly request that my website is readded to the directory and not removed discreetly. Please let me know if my submission needs to be changed or if there's anything wrong with the website itself which is preventing the site from attaining a permanent spot within dmoz.

We are a company and submitted our site in 2012 the first time, then 2013, then 2014. to DMOZ. Nothing happens. I have yet to understand why our site has not made it in the directory. <url removed> is the site and anyone who can help us , I think two years is long enough to wait don't you?

Dear Editors, <url removed> is online for 12 years and we used to get reply in this forum to give some time since site/directory is new, but it has been online for longer time. We would like to request editors to review <url removed> and please approve it. Hi.. about 1 or 2 years back, my site, <removed> was listed under http://www.dmoz.org/Home/Family/Pregnancy/Baby_Names/. I had an issue with godaddy and my site was down for a few days. After my site came back up, I checked my listing in DMOZ and it was gone, but I was still in the search results. Now, it is completely gone. What can I do to get re-listed. I know very well how important is DMOZ for me. But I have been very busy last two months... When suggesting my new site, I forgot to copy what I have written there as a description.. And now I can't sleep... I hope, that I did not misspelled something or did not do any other mistake. Hello, I understand the importance of submitting once, then leaving it alone when it comes to listing our website in the directory. I'm totally for that, but then I stumbled across a post where it mentioned that a confirmation email would be sent saying "Submission Successful" or something of the sort. I do not want to resubmit our site since it can only do bad things - did something go wrong? Thanks!

Hello, I have been hoping to get my website in the ODP for the past couple of years, the last time I resubmitted was just over a year ago but still no joy, I had explained here that the category no longer appeared to have an editor unfortunately. I was then asked to apply to be an editor which I did on a couple of occasions but was turned down, am I left with no other route here? Thanks for any feedback. Best regards mrix
