Hi, i apply for the editor position about 5-6 months ago. But i dont receive any mail about confirmation or rejection. So i dont insist on it. A few days ago i try to login again but i get a warning as the user name is existing. I ask a password form the web page "http://www.dmoz.org/public/forgetpass/" and refesh my password. The only error at registration was "User needs an email address verification before the user can login." after this error i think that my application have been still under investigation. But when i check the user name that i write "http://www.dmoz.org/public/profile?editor=mystical" web page's editor page was established. Please inform me what is…

Hi! I just applied to be an editor. I was told I AM an editor! Oh, okay. I did apply years(?) ago. Well, either I never received the acceptance (Did I ever do any editing?) or I have senile dementia. Either is posssible. In any case, I do not know my editor name (hyle?) or the email address associated with it. (I probably know my password--maybe.) So, how do I get from this state of paralyzed ignorance to being a functioning editor? Thanks for any help. hyle

Hello, I was an editor back in 2007 of http://www.dmoz.org/Society/Organizations/Service_Clubs/Rotary/Rotaract/North_America/Canada/. About 6 months later I assume my account was deactivated due to inactivity. I recently applied to be a new editor as I was unfortunately unable to find any reference to a username or dmoz in my emails (I don't know my username or email that I used). Today I received a standard rejection reply to my editor application accompanied with this comment: I find this comment rude and it makes me very angry, here's why: 1. I last applied in 2006, which was rejected. No comment was attached. I never received a specific warning. 2. I *DID* declare the main websites I am associated with, ones I am involved in on a daily basis. 3. Hello Gang, I was an editor for Celebration Florida regional categories in the early 2000s. When my profession changed, I stopped it. I am now with the Celebration Chamber of Commerce and would like to edit the Celebration Florida Businesses categories. I applied for that, and received a message saying that since I was an older editor I should reactivate my status. I followed the instructions, however it has been years since I used my password and the old email address is closed. I tried the reactivation form and it says my password is wrong. Please, could somebody help me with my application? I submitted it on early august 2010 and has soon been answered the category was too wide for a novice. So I submitted a new application on september 2010 for a very small category, but I haven't received any answer to this new application. To be honest I even don't remember the username I used for the application, it's a long time ago! I just know the email I used: It is the same email I used to register here. Hi, I just apply for the category http://www.dmoz.org/World/Bahasa_Melayu/ I am wondering should I use English for all fields of the application form other then url title and description? I used local language (Bahasa Melayu) in all fields on the application I made on 17 Feb 2011, no response yet. Should I use English to apply again? Windows live mail is filtering out mail from dmoz.org, so I think my application approval/denial email must have been deleted before I could read it. I've just been accepted as a new editor, but I can't find a way to recover my username. I'm ashamed to say I didn't write it down. I can find the password recovery page and account reinstatement, but I can't find anything for username recovery or the proper party to contact for said tech support.... HELP!
