I applied with full confidence and interest to dmoz diabetes personal pages - this is the url ! http://www.dmoz.org/Health/Conditions_and_Diseases/Endocrine_Disorders/Pancreas/Diabetes/Personal_Pages/ , the reply came from them is an automated response ! The funniest thing is that i can find there are few of the site in this similar category which are not even worth 40 % to be in this category, I can find these things but unfortunately i was rejected! Over the past 3 or 4 years I have applied to be an editor no less than ten times. Each time with an arbitrary reason for decline. Either "Thank you very much for your application. Unfortunately it appears that you have not fully disclosed your affiliated websites again. Affiliated websites include those that you own, market, assist with, have written content for, maintain, etc." Ok that is fine, I agree. But my last time I was declined because "your suggested sites are too related to your industry". This is even though NONE of the site I suggested were mine. Hello, I took an interset in the ODP over a year ago. I found a category, applied for it and was declined. I was pretty gutted. I had the generic rejection letter and I believe it was because I never put enough thought into the application and didn't fully read and understand the FAQ and Guidelines. I left it for around a year and tried again the other day. I spent hours reading through posts in this forum. As you will see, there are literally hundreds asking why they have been declined and in most they refer to the FAQ mentioned above, they also talk about a professional well written application. Hello, I was wondering if someone could help check the problem. I submitted an application to become editor in a small category (local valley where I live -- application in Italian). I have been waiting since May 18 without any response. Why would this be? What can I do to get the application reviewed? The email address I used in the application is <removed personal info> and the category is http://www.dmoz.org/World/Italiano/Regionale/Europa/Svizzera/Ticino/Valle_Verzasca/ Can someone please check it or give me some advice of what I can do to get any response? Just thought I would share my experience. I offered my services to help out with a small section of ODP. I have been in internet marketing for 10+ years now and I thought I could contribute and help keep the system afloat - especially in light of some recent press saying the directory is not being taken so seriously by the major engines anymore. Hello, I just applied to be an editor in an Arabic sectio, here. Hello, I just tried to confirm receipt of the open directory editor application. I tried a bunch of times and different ways. I even read another post on this site about the message: Your Open Directory editor application could not be confirmed. The error received was: Can't find your authentication ticket I cannot seem to find a way for it to accept my email. My user name for the editor position is: lehi53. I am hoping someone has some information about this.

These days anybody else submit your site to here, will be good for me to try, really so hard to start a class is not correct, I submitted again felt the same feelings as a child exams actually required here high is correct, only the high standards to reflect the authority, so there are so many sites to come in, but do not wait for formal notification of your always feel some things have not processed the same. I reapplied and the last time ensured I had followed your instructions to the letter (opendir - 84a5d5faa869a18d2fb056bf736644a8.) Hi, I was shocked to see that my editor account: martin0smith has been deleted? I spent several weeks (and over 30 phone calls) researching the outstanding companies in the category I was managing. I tried to log in to update my findings this morning and the account was gone.... Can someone please tell me why the account was deleted without warning? Thanks Martin

Hey, Bellow is the email I received today telling my that my ODP editor application was rejected: Now I know a lot of you will be saying that the Reviewer gave a reason why my application was rejected. But both of the links that I have where radio programs available for download and both of them where relevant to this topic. I don't get what the reviewer means by, I mean I understand that the reviewer thought that my sites where not appropriate but I don't get why. Any ideas on what I should do? -Jesse

Hello, I sent my application for the german part of DMOZ: http://www.dmoz.org/World/Deutsch/Regional/Europa/Spanien/Reise_und_Tourismus/ name: mallmis I have got a very quick answer that I will not become an editor. Of course I have some sites in DMOZ, because I am a web developer, but this is not the reason for my application. I just wanted to help! This ist really not fair, because my recommendations were very good and I had no errors in german orthography. I will never again send any application to this elitist club. Sorry to bother you guys. I applied as an editor May 13th this year. Now I thought I should check a bit and got a shock reading the forum guidelines:: I should have received a confirmation email - but never did. It could have ended up in the hotmail junk but if it was deleted by now. I got the confirmation for my membership though!? As I spent quite some effort in creating the application my question is, whether it is still in the system and whether the confirmation process can be triggered once more?
