www dot China<no space here>pans dot com. 1. All the item prices he listed is "0" 2. You can never check out ,every time you get a 404 page. 3. This guy even has a sex form on this online "shop"! But this site is listed well here in DMOZ: http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Consumer_Goods_and_Services/Electronics/ the domain created only in 23-apr-2007, seems suspiciou why he is listed. Anyone has any idea towards this ?

I had two website submitted almost year ago. None of them are included in the DMOZ category. Today after doin a research i found why.... Editor of both the category owns the website like me and don't include my website because they don't want to have competition. I know i have the read the thread here about "no such thing as competitiive website" But I think they are banning me for selfish and avoid competition even though my website has more content and info. Hey guys, After I saw how badly edited the category of my hometown (Top: Regional: Europe: Portugal: Districts: Coimbra: Coimbra) was I decided to apply for editor on Dmoz..for my surprise I was rejected with only the common reasons for rejection. I think my application was perfectly OK and, at the very least, I could be doing a better job than the current editor. My english might not be perfect but it is more than fine for short descriptions. After first submitting my site in 2007 and twice since then, I finally emailed the category editor who emailed me back saying he had asked to be listed on my site the day prior. He said he would look at my dmoz submission. After several follow-up emails he said that my site was now missing from his queue and that I should re-submit once again. After doing so, and exchanging more emails he said that he felt the site would be better in another category and had confirmed this with a senior editor and that the listing was already reviewed. Can I ask, what are the specific rules for updating a site? I ask because a particular web page is being updated every two or three days, listed under my name for search purposes, but with the sole purpose of subjecting me and my work to ridicule and abuse. No changes are being made to the page, so how can it be updated every other day? to whom it may concern, I just wanted to take the time nearly a year and a half after my first submission of online-store-list.com to the dmoz to appologize to the moderators who took the time to respond to my request even though obviously disgusted by affiliate sites. When first I started this website I had absolutely no computer experience at all and thought that when I came across the idea that it sounded like a wonderful idea to supplement my families incredibly tight finances. I was wondering why there are so many dead links in the directory? A few days ago I downloaded the raw directory data and loaded it into our web safe bot, it searches for... (popups, unsafe script, 3rd party cookies, tracking). Now I am about 60% done with fetching all the pages in the directory, but I have over 50,000 pages so far, that return 404. I have personally tested half the ones that return 404 and all of them are real 404 returns! So my question is... When is the directory cleared of 404(s) and do you even check links before releasing the new data. I ask this because over 80% of the dead links have been in previous raw data releases. Thanks j

I hope someone will hear this plea in the wilderness. I have a web site reviewed here, url removed, with the blurb "largely drawn from the Northwest Architectural Archives." In point of fact, only 40% of the content of my site links to the indicated University of Minnesota archival collection. This description diminishes the contributions of many others who have gone to great efforts to provide scholarly reference material. I would like to find out if there is an editor of the cagegory http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Windows/Window_Coverings/Shutters/. (I don't need to know who.) There are two sites that have been "dead" for a long time, but no updates have been made and I don't know where to report "dead" links.
