Hi Editors, I wondered that in the last year there are a lot of new Links to my former website fond by google. Then I fond out there are all related to dmoz. Unfortunally this site doesnt exists any more for quite a while. In dmoz the site is listed in 2 catagories: World: Deutsch: Computer: Software: Grafik: 3D: Firmen: Visualisierung World: Deutsch: Computer: CAD und CAM: Bauwesen: Dienstleistungen: Visualisierung The related url is: architektur-agentur.de It would be nice if the entrys could be deleted before even more pagelister use this dead link from dmoz. On own request I had removed succesfully an URL: <url removed> from directory: World: Nederlands: Kunst: Schilderkunst: Kunstschilders: Abstract But now for months it still shows on key words a search result: <search query removed> I want it to get removed because the category is simply not corresponding my type of art making/art discipline. I'm simply not an art painter That's why I had to removed it anyway. It's bothering me now for a while so. Several editors I have contacted but they have no solution or are not responding at all. Who please can help me with this and can remove this search result on dmoz? Thanks

Almost four months ago I submitted a request to update the domain URL for one of our web sites that has four listings in different categories in the DMOZ as we had after ten years change the domain name of our web site. Today when I check there has been no change to any of the four listings. Then I thought I would check a similar request for a different web site which I don't own, but noticed that the domain name had changed slightly. Editor adds his own site but what about sites like mine and other sites that added their links before him? I was there as dmoz started in the late 90s and over time things have degraded. It's hard to be an editor...you have your own life work and then you need to contribute some of your time to add/decline new sites to a category. I understand it's hard...that's why some editors ignore a category for years. In my opinion, if an editor does not do work for 6 months they should be dropped. Hello, Since I intend to make a website on aquapink.ch domain name I wonder how to get it out of Dmoz Adult category? My project has nothing to do with adult content. I read that sites which are not functional are removed from DMOZ listing (partly automatically with bots), it's not the case here as the website has been turned off. Now it's on again but without content, as it could work better for the bots if there is "no content" to compare to, but no. Is there a way to remove a non-functional site from DMOZ Adult listing? Category: Shopping > Clothing > Casual > T-Shirts > Humor There is no moderator, editor applications are disabled for the category, and many of the old links don't even have sites on them anymore - they are redirecting to irrelevant pages, error messages and parked domains. Can someone please consider getting around to editing this page, removing all the dead links, and adding my site. I've probably been trying to get listed for about 3 years now. I was previously listed on DMOZ but had to change URL after the free host removed my site. Email me for the link.

I submitted a fraud report on Feb. 23th and nothing has happened, as of yet. I am quite certain that the editor in question is abusing the system. I have my reference code, is there someone I can send that code to in order to make things happen. Thanks so much.

We listed with DMOZ back in 2003 or thereabouts and everything was fine, we thought it was a done deal, no need to check back ever. Now I find that our site is not listed anymore, in any category. This completely baffles me because our site has never been down or offline in the last 8 years, we make hand tools so this can't be objectionable, and we were in the correct category all along, and our web site has not been revised since we originally listed. What can I do to find out why we were removed from DMOZ and how we can contest the issue and get re-listed properly. I tried reporting abuse at http://editors.dmoz.org/public/abuse as suggested but it will not go through. All of the information is filled out, after clicking Submit Report the next page shows a GO BACK link and that's it. There is no Report ID given which tells me the complaint has not been filed. I tried to submit a change form for the listing but it insists the URL is not listed .. I tried twice with and without the trailing / . Category: Top : Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: England: Cambridgeshire: Ely: Business and Economy : Advertising and Marketing (1) listing for http://www.lightworkmarketing.com/: Light Work - Full service agency specialising in public transport. Profile, services and portfolio. I visited their site and they do state they design logos, web sites etc and one of their projects was for a transport company but they do not specialist in public transport.

Hello everyone, Over the past few years myself and more than dozens of people where trying to suggest websites to the Israeli Dmoz directory (located here : http://www.dmoz.org/World/Hebrew/) unsuccessfully. All of the forums in Israel are talking about that phenomenon. Israel's editors have been rejecting/ignoring thousands of requests. On the other hand, we see that the directory sometimes include few websites that are connected to the same person, as if the editors only take care of people they know. I have a question/issue. In a category on http://chefmoz.org/ there are two domains of which one is redirecting to a subdomain on the other. So the same domain is listed twice, for example: title1 http://www.a.com/ title2 http://www.b.com/ and b.com redirects to sub.a.com (but the page on the subdomain is obviously part of and can be accessed through the same website) Now I have informed the editor of this category weeks ago but no action whatsoever was taken (the category has not been changed since 2007).
