Hello, On 21st February I filed a DMCA complaint with the Chief Counsel of AOL to have a site removed from the ODP. My understanding is that the correct mechanism for filing such a complaint is via http://www.aol.com/info/notify.html as the ODP is owned by Netscape Communications Corporation, which in turn is a subsiduary of AOL. No acknowledgement to the complaint has been made by either AOL, Netscape or the ODP. This unlawful use violates the ODP guidelines, however you should note that the site itself is not a direct copy of mine, nor is my site already listed in the directory (indeed, I am not requesting that it is). Hello, maybe a newbie question, but so far I haven't found solution for this: I'm trying to fix my site title and description: Searching in dmoz, http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?search=pr%C3%A1zdniny+v+tel%C4%8Di returns right category (http://www.dmoz.org/World/%C4%8Cesky/Kultura/Hudba/Festivaly/), under which I see my web right listed with updated title and desc. But on search page, under Open Directory Sites is still old title and description, how do I make it updated?

Hello, It is my understanding that the website for ZAP World is in two different categories. The first is electric vehicles, the second is electric scooters. The only reason I am reporting this is because I was curious in the site submission status forum about multiple searches and an editor suggested to report my concerns. Site http://www.dominicaguide.net/ is listed in http://dmoz.org/Regional/Caribbean/Dominica/Guides_and_Directories/ . However, the site has little to do with Dominica. The first page has some information but it is by no means original -- you can find that on dozens of sites. Other pages only have few Dominica-related links midst of all other kinds of travel info such as cruises to Alaska. Moreover, only one of the photos on the site is from Dominica -- all others are from other Caribbean islands. Please check this directory listing Regional: Asia: Philippines: Provinces: Benguet: Baguio City Of the 10 sites listed, 4 are owned by the same person, Lisa Araneta: Atenara House Baguio Insider Baguio Table Tennis League Go Baguio! Is Lisa Araneta an editor in this section? Isn't it a little biased to have 40% of the directory listing to belong to only one person? Does a policy exist regarding doorway pages? In the specific instances in which I am inquiring, one particular company has more than one site listed and also uses doorway pages for all major cities in the U.S.. The sites have different names and slightly different (but essentially the same) content. Is this permitted?

Hi, About two weeks ago I’ve sent an abuse report to kctipton with cc to staff@dmoz.org Since then some of the reported sites have been removed, some of them where reported by mistake (my), regarding one I’ve discussed in other thread with one of the editors (remained unanswered) but the most important sites that are abusing the category remained untouched. The following website: http://www.queerposters.com is listed in the google directory under: http://directory.google.com/Top/Shopping/Niche/Gay,_Lesbian,_and_Bisexual/ Now I know the google directory results come from dmoz or am I mistaken? Hello, my former website which does not exist anymore for over 7 years now is still listed in the bookmark section of DMOZ. A lot of other pages use your directory and therefore when searching with google for my name this link with descriptions comes up several times even though the link leads to "page does not exist". Hi, my website http://www.holiday-rentals.uk.com was listed in category; http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/West_Yorkshire/Pudsey/ but it is no longer showing - in fact there's not many sites now showing in this category. I was wondering why the listing was removed? If the listing will not be put back into this category will I have to wait another 3 years before the site is submitted, and what category would you recommend that I submit the site to. Hi, I am inquiring because the business I work for is listed on the site is listed twice, and both times in the wrong location. I was hoping to have that fixed. Location 1 and 2 are about halfway down the search page here (#9 and #12) Absolute Web Services. One of the posts lists us as being located in Deerfield Beach and the other Says Boca Raton. I run NetSweat.com - http://www.netsweat.com. According to DMOZ, my site should be listed under "Health:Fitness:Personal Training:Online". (http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?search=netsweat ). The problem is my site is not listed in that category. This "bug" occurred last week after I submitted a request to have my description updated.
