I have found about 50 websites in the Ireland categories that are just parked pages with ppc links on them. What is the best way to get them removed.

You may recall I posted a long thread in the now defunct site status check forum a year ago, almost to the day. At any rate, without mentioning specific domain names, and without mentioning my domain or asking for a "status update"... Would it be a quality control issue, if a site, very similar to mine and many others, that has only been up for about 7 days, and has very little content for the category it's in... is suddenly accepted? And several others that have been doing the very same thing for 4 to 5+ years, are not? My site has been listed in the Directory for a number of years, however the content description is outdated and no longer reflects the content of the main body of the website. Also, the site URL has changed. I submitted an update a number of times in the last five months but have seen no change in the listing. My site has been on dmoz for over 6 years (thank you). It never had its own domain name i.e. was in the format xyz.com/directory/ I decided that it needed its own domain and set the site up at newsite.com I applied a 301 redirect to xyz.com/directory/ on to newsite.com Then notified dmoz via the Update Site form and asked if they could change the name to the new domain. They removed the whole listing. no sign whatsoever of xyz.com/directory/ or newsite.com !!! Is this what usually happens in this situation? I don't understand - please help.

I was going to report something under Society: Religion and Spirituality: Esoteric and Occult: Chats and Forums and on the report page, this comes up --> There is a site under chats & forums that seems to be a spring board for selling furniture, rather then something Esoteric_and_Occult. This is not a yahoo issue, it's a dmoz issue...correct? I've no clue if it' breaks the rules of YAHOO (I can't stand their groups system set up, and find it mind boggling why there are so many submissions for them).

Hi there, Just noticed that yesterday someone from editors.dmoz.org visited my site. Does that mean that I will be listed shortly after that. I have nearly 23 pages and 7 pages were visited. With the search terms "satellit faq" dmoz shows a site where only a text is shown. This text means, that the reader already knows, that the faq isn't maintained since three years. This site should be removed from dmoz. On the other hand the maintained satellite faq is only to be found with "satellitenempfang faq". Here should the descriptor satellit be added. Thanks, Gerd

Hi, I'm the author/president/idiot in charge of the ****ty Blogs Club. I am thrilled that we are listed under "Worst of the Web," I couldn't agree more. But your description of the site says, "Humorous 'awards' given to weblogs the author deems to be of poor quality." There are a number of sites that do that, but this is not one of them. The site is just what it says it is, a club for bloggers whose blogs suck, and they not only know it, they are proud of it. We do give awards from time to time, but only to members based on their merits as members. A more appropriate description might be, "Club for losers who can't even blog well." I don't really care…
