To echo rfgdxm <You may do this, but that doesn't mean that the editor has change things the way you want them.> Editors rarely, in fact, use the description submitted. In addition, the submitted description rarely meets guidelines. I believe we do take into account what the submittor would like included, and take from that what (after reviewing the site) is appropriate. If you feel you have a better description for your site, by all means submit it--but leave key wording out of it.

Re: Status request for http://www.candybardesigns. The products are not unique, they are on numerous other sites and does not qualify as unique content. As a result, the site cannot be listed. -
Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about the date. Like dfy said...it matters if the editor sorts by date submitted. There is no requirement to do that, however, so it may or may not matter in the long run. It depends on how the editor who ends up looking at that category chooses to sort the sites. There is nothing anyone can do regarding this. Sorry

Site has not been reviewed yet...is currently waiting with a less than 100 other sites.

The editors reviewing sites are all volunteer...it is not that something is wrong, it is just that no one has been able to review it yet. Resubmitting often makes more work for editors and takes time away from editing when duplicates have to be removed from a number of categories in order to leave the submission in the best possible place. In this case, it appears one submission overwrote the old one--leaving the new date. Your site has not been deleted, there is no need to resubmit. You can come back here in a month and find if there has been progress.
-
Your site was just submitted 5 days ago, on 01/Mar/2003 15:15:23 MST, please wait a month before requesting an update.

You submitted to both Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Industrial_Supply/Safety_Equipment_Supplies/ and Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Industrial_Supply/Safety_Equipment_Supplies/Fire_Protection/ The site appears to be mainly directed at fire protection. You should submit to the one category that most applies to your site. The duplicate in the parent category has been deleted. There is no need to resubmit. Editors in higher categories, as well as editors with higher privledges can edit where no editor is listed. Your site is waiting with under 50 other sites at this time in http://dmoz.org/Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Industrial_Supply/Safety_Equipment_Supplies/Fire_Protection/. If you have not been listed in a month you are still welcome to come back to this forum and use this same thread to inquire again as to status. There is no need to resubmit, your site is still sitting in the queue.

<<I e-mailed the editor of the category a month ago with some questions about his section, and he never replied back. It seems he is inactive?>> If an editor does not reply to an email, it is not necessarily an indication they are inactive. Often editors do not reply to personal emails/feedback. There are days I receive numerous emails requesting updates, status, etc. If I researched them all I would never get any editing done. In addition, sometimes the reply is not what the submittor would like to hear and they become upset. For those reasons (and more) many editors do not reply or do what I do and send them the url of the resource zone. As we are all volunteer, it is not required that email be answered. Some answer email, some do not. Also, as giz explained, no category is competely without an editor. Other editors can access categories that do not have an editor listed as well as categories that do.

Your site is still in the queue with under 50 other sites.

It is still in the works in regional. That submission was just made on February 18, so please be patient . There are a minimal number of sites waiting in that category. If you see no progress, you can check back here in a month.

post was made again in new thread . Directed to this thread with a copy of motsa's note above. I visited site, affiliate status appears to have not changed.
-
The note above explains to use the original thread. In addition, that thread also says: Your links all redirect to affiliate links (for affiliate seekways) at clickbank. You will not be listed.
-
Please give it a month before asking here again

I would give a description and then in as few words as possible, say something like ****please note, site used to lead to ___, has been corrected. An editor with experience in this category will decide if there is enough content to list. I did notice that your site leads to some other sites under the "directory" section but also contains deeplinks within your site.
-
I would go ahead and resubmit, in your desc. you might want to call attention to having corrected the error so that the editor is aware that the problem was corrected.
-
It was deleted as being a doorway page to http://www.8ye.net which appears to be an affiliate program.
-
It appears you submitted to Society/Relationships/Dating and Society/Relationships/Dating/Personals/International/L. Your site was denied in both places as not having enough content.

Site has been denied due to numerous errors within the site. I did hit a few random links and found areas "temporarily down for maintenance." Errors were found during three reviews all taking place this month. -
I too see no indication your site was ever deleted or listed. Please provide a clickable link to the category in which you submitted to.
-
Please change my status from CatEditall: Shopping to Editall/Catmv Thanks
-
Sorry, http://www.artgalleryyouchi.com is not waiting in unreviewed in that category, or under the "V" section of the alphabar. Whatever error you received was apparently correct, and the site was not received on this end. I would go ahead and resubmit, but do it to the correct alphabar section in accordance to the title of your site. [edited to add] windharp beat me to it...there was no reply when I originally answered

Another editor had combed the site before I did, I spent a lot of time and didn't find anything that was sold in individual items. The site should be listed in the one category where the main focus lies. The exception for this would be if you have a brick and mortar store, it would also qualify for a regional listing. The other editor who had previously looked at the site also felt the main purpose was not to sell to individual consumers. I am not saying that I don't believe you have individual products, I didn't look at each and every item--but it appears to me that the majority of the product content is directed into the bulk sales and therefore the business listing would be the most appropriate. Sorry

The category to which you submitted is very backed up, the listed editor has been unable to spend a lot of time editing. Your submission of 24/Dec/2002 is sitting at the bottom of a queue containing approximately 200 sites. Unfortunately, you are likely in for a long wait so please try to be patient.

It looks like you were submitting deeplinks to a variety of categories throughout Food including: Shopping/Food/Confectionery/Chocolate Shopping/Food/Confectionery/Chocolate/Personalized Shopping/Gifts/Personalized/Candy_Wrappers Your site can only be listed under the root url in the most appropriate category. It is currently waiting review with a submission date of 18/Nov/2002 in Shopping/Food/Confectionery/Chocolate. Please don't submit anymore deeplinks. It looks to me like your site sells only in bulk, rather than to individual consumers. The purpose appears to be to apply a logo, it looks to me like it would be more appropriate for http://dmoz.org/Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Advertising/Promotional_Items/Consumables/Candy/. [edited to add] I went ahead and moved the submission, so there is no need to resubmit. I am seeing minimum quantities of 250, etc. The smallest I found was a minimum order of one product for 25.

Re: Site Status Your site is not waiting in the queue at http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Consumer_Electronics/Communications/Wireless/Cellular_Phones/, nor has it been recently deleted. There are just too many sites in related categories for me spend the time to try to find out where you actually submitted to. Which one category best fits your site?
