Thank you for the tip regarding up4sale.com. Because the url is still valid (just mentions closing information) it did not come to our immediate attention. I have deleted the site. It is unlikely a new editor would be approved for a category starting out at a top level such as Shopping/Auctions where the number of waiting sites you refer to is large. I have no idea what subcat you applied for, but it could be that it was viewed too busy or had too many sites for a new editor. You might try applying for a smaller category, or even a category in another area to start out with--and use that as a stepping stone to where you would like to edit later on. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Re: http://www.doggtagz.com/ It is still in the queue with a submission date of 19/Sep/2002 12:29:48 MDT. There are over a hundred sites currently waiting for review. It looks like this is a busy cat for submissions, it may be awhile yet.

Resubmitting a site when it is already in unreviewed just makes more work for the editor and increases how long it takes to work on a category, because someone must then delete all of those duplicate submits in order to leave one copy in unreviewed. In addition, sites are usually reviewed in the order they come in and it is possible your earlier submit could be deleted with a more recent submit left in unreviewed--which would then make it that much longer before your site is evaluated. I know it is hard, but try to be patient--it will be reviewed at some point, but beauty is a very popular cateory and receives a lot of submissions. As luck would have it, your site was added yesterday.

I was invited to this forum post (thank you) as I am at the top of /Children and have done a lot of the work in the sling cat in the past. I don't accept anything downloaded from a site either, but it still allows me to hit cancel and I can still view the site anyway although the warning pops up at each page. From an end-user point of view, if I were the consumer, it really is kind of annoying if it was me I probably would close the site and move on to ordering elsewhere. I do understand dfy's point completely and if I couldn't view the site adequately I probably wouldn't add it because I won't compromise my computer. Because I can view this site (although it might just my computer ignorance that lets me feel safe hitting "cancel") I would list if the contents add something to this section. On another note, for this site's webmaster...I couldn't view the site in Netscape 4.73 (I probably need to update, I don't use Netscape but rarely)--it only partially loads. I got the popup in Mozilla with a warning, but no warning in Explorer which I take to mean whatever is being downloaded is probably already on my computer in regards to Explorer. As for how long it will be, hopefully not much longer. We got a new editor in Shopping/Children/Baby and either she or I will likely get to it soon. Lin/"kokopeli"

It does not matter that there is not a specific editor listed in this category, as other editors do have access to it. I did some work in this category within the last few weeks and plan to continue in the near future. It is not a matter of never (if a site qualifies) but when <img src="/images/icons/tongue.gif" alt="" /> .

Affiliate links are links to other sites where there is a referral id and profits are paid for referring a person to another site. Your site is what I would consider an affiliate, there are paid links to allposter.com, mp3dancer.com and amazon to name a few. In addition there are links to other sites that do not appear affiliate in nature. In order to qualify for a listing your site must contain unique content--of which your site does not have on it's own. Unique content is products or information not found on other sites, as yours is all links this is not present.

I changed the site url to http://collector-connection.site.yahoo.net/ as opposed to the deeplink and moved it to http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Children/Varied_Merchandise/ for evaluation as it is not bedding specific. It is a good idea, in the future, to submit the root url as opposed to deeplinks. There are only a few sites sitting in unreviewed there at this time, and it should be evaluated soon. While there is no editor for that category, I am listed at the top of Shopping/Children and I regularily work my way through the unreviewed there. Lin

I checked and your update is currently waiting to be reviewed along with quite a few other sites. I have changed the title to Yoga.com as that is the title currently on the site. The other changes, however, will need to be reviewed by an editor who will decide whether or not your site would do better listed elsewhere. It is, however, still "in the works".
