  1. Hmm, the site's not loading for me. Oh wait, there it goes. This site is just a company reselling Indigo flywheels (you've inquired about the Indigo site in another thread) and ACT clutches (ACT has their own site and that is already listed), right?
  2. Cognigen is a strange setup, isn't it. If you start at the cognigen.com page (which redirects to http://cognigen.net/corporate/?foundersclubagent ) and click on products and services, you end up at http://ld.net/?butler28; on the other hand, if you strip the affiliate tag off the redirect above (to have http://cognigen.net/corporate/ ), the links to products and services go to http://ld.net/?cognigen . Then, if you strip the affiliate tags off the ld.net URL, all links take you to http://ld.net/?rnuval.
  3. We ask that you please leave at leave a month between status requests. Thanks.
  4. As has been noted in numerous other threads, the search database hasn't been updated since late September (due to technical problems).
  5. Your site is actually currently awaiting review in http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Hawaii/Oahu/Localities/Honolulu/Business_and_Economy/Internet since that is where you are based. All you can do right now is wait. Check back here in a month (in this threa...don't start a new one) for a status update.
  6. Re: Category Updated/Listing Removed? Editing isn't necessarily done in alphabetical order so the fact that the one above yours hasn't been touched yet doesn't mean that it won't be or that is was overlooked.
  7. They wouldn't be listed in their county but would probably get a listing in their appropriate locality (i.e. the locality where they are physically located, not the nearest larger city). It would help to have an example site in order to be able to give you specific advice, though.
  8. I dealt with a couple of them: Usellit - Removed Nor Cal Auction - Removed Bid Expert - It does have an English version. Bid 1 Now - Removed Auctionscape - Removed
  9. I've noticed that a lot of limousine/car companies seem to try to appear as anonymous as possible, presumably because they are based somewhere other than where they are trying to be listed (note: this is a general comment, not necessarily about this particular company)
  10. Re: I need an update on www.affordable-healthinsur [see also original thread]
  11. If that happens and all the references to it change on the site, then by all means submit another update request to get the title of the listing changed.
  12. It really really helps if you provide a clickable link to the category in question. Your move request was acted upon. I'm not sure why you were asking to be moved into the Raleigh category but you are located in Apex so that's where you were moved (there was about 1/2 hour during the process when you were unreviewed but that's it). [dangnabbit, dfy beat me to it]
  13. If the site is otherwise listable, the reviewing editor will just adjust the URL, title, and/or description as necessary to meet the guidelines.

Utilisez votre autre "thread" pour service en français, svp.
  15. Re: pickard Just to second what donaldb said, I started out editing in an Australian category and I'm about as far from Australia as one can physically get. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />
  16. Right now, you're by your lonesome.
  17. My first thought would be "no" but it's difficult to say for sure without knowing the site in question (I'm quessing it's the one you asked about previously)? Yes. It's for any comments you want to make about your submission. Probably. How much it gets altered depends on how closely the submitted description follows the guidelines. I've had submitted descriptions that I used almost verbatim and I've had others that I had to completely throw out and rewrite from scratch. Appeal in what sense? Discussing here? Or resubmitting? If your site is repeatedly deemed an affiliate and unlistable, doing either isn't likely to get you listed. That's not a "blacklist", just the way things are. Your best bet is to reopen your earlier thread (if the site in question is tonebase.com) and ask there.
  18. beebs, he already posted his specific query in the "Submission Status Requests" forum and was responding here to my post there.
  19. Re: status please http://www.atlanticcityshotels.c You were rejected for being a Travelnow affiliate (all of your "Book a room" links take the surfer to Travelnow via an affiliate link).
  20. How do you know it was characterized as an affiliate site? If you're just guessing (e.g. because it's been awhile since you submitted and your site hasn't been listed), your best bet would be to post a request to have your site's status checked in the "Submission Status Request" forum here. In any case, we can't really comment unless we know the URL you're talking about.
  21. You've been listed in Noblesville for about a week. You're still in the queue of the Shopping category, though, along with less than 20 other sites. Don't know how long it will take before you reviewed there.
  22. totalxsive was not being sarcastic but was stating a fact -- that your update request was rejected (by another editor, incidentally) because it was deemed that, since your job listings cover more than just occupational therapists, the current description was fine. [edited to add: Since then, your site has been deemed more appropriate for the Business/Healthcare/Employment category (since it does in fact cover more than just Occupational Therapy) and has been moved there.]
  23. Re: Status http://www.familyrs.com Go to your profile page (which you can reach by click on your name here) and click on the "Show all user's posts" link. That will show you your other posts (and thus other threads you've posted in).
  24. You're already listed in http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Dynamic_and_Multimedia/I and are in the queue for the Regional category you noted. What is the purpose of the .exe file that it tries to run (ipserve.exe)? It appears to be how you're serving up your pages but you might want to rethink that. Many surfers (and editors) don't look kindly on a site that appears to be trying to download and run a program on their machine (in this day and age of viruses, no one wants to run an .exe without knowledge or consent). Also, you might want to consider removing the script you run that resizes the page to fill the screen -- it just annoys people and really doesn't add anything to the experience.
  25. As I pointed out to you privately and as others pointed out in this thread, the matter has been/is being discussed. What the ultimate result of that will be and how long that discussion might take is something we can't say. So, continually asking for an update isn't going to serve any purpose. Just leave it be for now.
