Anywhere in particular under Arts/Online_Writing that you submitted it to? I personally would not expect that you would be listed under Arts/Online_Writing in addition to the GLB category you're currently in since the GLB category essentially functions as a subcat of the Arts/Online_Writing one.

You were told you could check on the status after a month, not that you could post in a month and someone would go out and review your site then. Posting here doesn't move you to the front of the queue and get you reviewed immediately. Someone will review your site eventually. 2 months is not a very long wait. You can check back again in a month but that means just that -- you'll get an update on your status but an editor won't go and review your site then.

I believe the ODP side of things has been covered in the previous posts but you never know, someone may feel like dredging it all back up again. Because it isn't an official part of the ODP. It's operated by ODP editors but is not officially endorsed by the ODP itself.

You should submit to the one category that best fits your site, not the one with the lesser backlog. I'd say the Business one is the best one for you so I'd recommend you don't resubmit.

I deliberately didn't mention adding to bookmarks precisely because I didn't want you to start bringing up editor notes in this forum. This isn't the place to do that. So here's a slightly longer answer: (1) you can't necessarily tell what's happening with your site by looking at the category logs; (2) you can't necessarily tell what's happening with your site from looking at the editor notes; (3) you can find out what's happening with your site by asking here. You're still in the queue. Feel free to come back in a month to ask again.

Just want to clarify that the Melbourne locality category is strictly for companies that are located in the Melbourne CBD. I believe you are located in Oakleigh East so you would submit to http://dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/Australia/Victoria/Localities/O/Oakleigh_East not Melbourne.

If you're an editor, post a request in the appropriate thread in the Members forum here to have your status here changed to "Editor" (you'll need to give your editor id). Then you'll have access to the Editors forum here. If you're finding it slow editing, I'm guessing you didn't follow the instructions on your editor dashboard (I don't know of anyone who finds it unreasonably slow editing using the editor-only connections -- I'm only using a modem that frequently maxes out at 33K or less and it works fine for me).

I think she meant to submit the root URL to a category that fit your business, not a single product, since you're only going to get listed in one category.

Stop concentrating so much on ODP search results. The search hasn't been updated since the changes were made. If you actually check most of the sites in the search results, you'll find that the descriptions were corrected back when I first told you I was correcting them. The rest are, in my opinion, OK. Any further dissection of the listings or why they turn up in "x" search is inappropriate for this forum. I think we've answered your questions more than sufficiently by now. You're not going to get "Oregon" added to the description of your site. Period. Time to move on.
