1. Please give a clickable link to the category whenever you inquire about a site. In this case, that would be http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Outdoors/Hiking
2. Nice little site. You're waiting there in the queue along with a couple of dozen other sites. It's not heavily edited, though, so it may be a little while yet.
3. You must have gotten an error message when you tried to submit the site. The error message would have said that it couldn't determine your IP address and that as a result the site was getting routing to a holding pen to be verified and then forwarded to the correct queue. You may have gotten the error for several of your submissions since only 1 of the 6 actually made it through to the cat you said you submitted to. No, I won't move it out -- I avoid the holding pens because they are too large for my computer to load. It will get moved out eventually.
4. Since there are more than just philosophy forums on the site, it isn't appropriate there. It's waiting in the only place it could be listed. 1. They're not really personal homepages. They're one-page profile pages of UGN members -- if users can create more than one page, I couldn't find any. 2. In order to create a profile, one must first be registered with undergrounds.com. That makes them very intertwined and thus one becomes a subsite of the other. Feel free to resubmit. It's a gigantic queue, though (several hundred sites) so it's likely to be a long time before it gets properly reviewed by someone.
5. 6) www.learmedia.ca is not waiting in Shopping/Entertainment/Recordings/Video/Videotape/Special_Interest . However I can tell now that you must have gotten the IP error message (probably for all your submissions) that states that your IP address couldn't be determined and that the submission was being routed to a holding area. This one is currently waiting for someone to shift it out of the Shopping holding pen into the correct queue.
6. 5) www.selit.net is not waiting in Shopping/Classifieds/Free_Classifieds. I don't know where you submitted it but it wasn't there.
7. 4) www.gnomenetwork.com -- submitted to Society/People/Personal_Homepages? I don't know where you actually submitted it but it isn't waiting in Society/People/Personal_Homepages or in Society/People/Personal_Homepages/G . What exactly is it? It looks like a directory of personal profiles, not personal homepages and it definitely isn't a homepage on its own. It is also, like all the other sites you're asking about, firmly meshed with undergrounds.com's content. This site especially is not listable on it's own so I wouldn't bother resubmitting.
8. 3) www.perfectpeople.net shows that it was only submitted a month ago (to the day) so I'm guessing you resubmitted at least once. It's there in the queue with under 100 sites. Don't know how long it'll take.
9. 2) www.captaincynic.com is currently listed in Society/Philosophy/Humor -- is that where you're saying it is miscategorized? You say here it belongs under Society/Philosophy/Chats_and_Forums but your update request in the Humor category states you'd like it moved to Computers/Internet/On_the_Web/Message_Boards. Which is it? Personally, I see it as just a subsite of undergrounds.com (UGN network) and therefore not appropriate to list on its own but it's in the queue (along with over 500 sites) of Computers/Internet/On_the_Web/Message_Boards anyway. It's likely going to be quite awhile before it gets reviewed.
10. 1) I didn't see www.undergrounds.com in the queue for Computers/Internet/Searching/Directories but the listing that was under Image Galleries has been moved to unreviewed under Directories. It's waiting with over 300 other sites and it's likely going to be quite a while before it's reviewed.
11. Re: www.hawgbuster.com "fishing lures" wrong cat&d I'll say, since you didn't give a second sentence at all.
12. Re: www.hawgbuster.com "fishing lures" wrong cat&d Sorry, I started to reply to this post earlier but my browser crashed in the middle of it and I never got back to it. Since you do offer online Shopping, your site is appropriate for the category it is currently in. Now, as a manufacturer of lures as well as a seller, it's possible you might be eligible for listing in the Recreation category as well but that's really not my neck of the woods.
13. Re: Status of http://www.asmarteru.com/ You're still in the queue of a couple dozen sites (somewhere in the middle if sorted by date but that's irrelevent).
14. Now, that's not the category you initially said you submitted to, is it. Tsk tsk tsk. The category you were actually trying to submit to is http://dmoz.org/Society/Law/Services/Intellectual_Property/Copyright_Services/ (I take it you got the IP error that stated your submission was being routed to a temporary holding area?) Anyway, you're waiting in the queue there. You can check back here in a month if it hasn't been reviewed by then.
15. And here I was trying to be polite by not mentioning it.
16. Yup, you overwrote me -- doh! Oh, well. All that matters is the category link is now correct.
17. That's been fixed now. Thanks for pointing it out.
18. Please provide a clickable link to the category you submitted it to.
19. How do you know that the site was submitted after yours? Answer: you don't. And it wouldn't matter if it had been since editors can review sites in whatever order they choose. You're waiting to be reviewed along with over 150 other sites. It will probably be awhile as the category isn't actively tended. Don't resubmit as that will just overwrite your current submission, moving you to the bottom of the queue if an editor chooses to sort by date. You can come back to this thread in a month to ask about the status again.
20. You can't fault ODP editors for getting confused when it's difficult to tell (because of all the linking back and forth between all the many fairy-related sites you've created) where one site's content ends and another begins. You say they're separate but you've set them up in such a way that they look like a giant web of a single site whose content is spread over several domains (even the Fairies World site states that there are numerous fairy-related sites in their group). The fact that you and Fairies World have chosen to split the Fairies World content onto multiple domains doesn't make them separate sites from an ODP point of view. They're both about fairies and they're both part of the Fairies World group of domains (which all are about fairies). It's not like we're talking about one site offering fairy information and the other offering diesel mechanic services.
21. Please don't start a new thread for a site you've already asked about. Please reuse the original thread.
22. I'd recommend you send the details to one of the meta editors who post here regularly (an editall can look into things and remove a listing if it isn't appropriate but if you need a full investigation, you're best to go straight to a meta).
23. I haven't looked at any of the other sites in the category. I'm just offering my opinion based on the contents of your site. As I said, you're still waiting to be reviewed there and I'm sure someone with more knowledge of this type of site will eventually review it.
24. Re: correct status request www.protectcopyrights.c Please don't start a new thread -- reuse the original thread by replying to one of the posts in that thread. BTW that isn't correct linkable format for the category -- just go browse to the category you want to be listed in and copy and paste what's in the address line into a new post in your original thread. That will make sure that the clickable link is valid.
25. All of your drug purchasing links are affiliate links and as a site comprised of mostly affiliate links, you will not be listed. It has nothing to do with the one-page redirect you may have had. See the relevent portion of the guidelines here. I see that this is the same information given to you in the email you were sent. Please don't resubmit.
