Please don't create a new thread to ask about sites you already asked about before. You should have just posted a new reply to the original thread instead.

Re: submission status http://www.mymissourihomes.c Please don't start multiple threads for the same site. I've already answered you in your other thread. Please confine any remarks/questions to that thread.

Actually, it's waiting for review in St. Peters, not St. Charles, since that is where the company is located. You're waiting with a handful of sites -- and no, we don't know how long it will take for your site to be reviewed. You can check back here (in this thread) in a month or two if it hasn't been listed. FTR you submitted on Feb. 20 (not even three weeks ago).

Please don't start a brand new thread to ask about a site you've already inquired about here. Please reuse the original thread instead. Thanks.

Realty sites are listed in the locality where the company's offices are located. This site is currently waiting for review in the Stateline, NV category. Regarding the change of URL, ideally it would help if the original submitted URL had some kind of notice (e.g. "Hey, our new site is at http://www.resortrealtyllc.com . Come see us there.") but since neither is listed right now, I've changed the submitted URL to the "new" one. It's still awaiting review in the Stateline category.

You were last given a status update in your original thread in the Submissions forum in early March (i.e. a week ago). Please leave at least a month between status checks. Thanks.

Editors have been spending time here with him. The ultimate fact is, though, that we need new editors to start small, to get a handle on editing in general before they are granted a larger category like this one. It's not a personal affront. Editors are but when it starts to rehash issues that (a) we have no control over, (b)are already on a to-do list, or © (for reasons we can't or won't get into) are not doable, there's no point served in going through it all again...and again....and again. That's totally irrelevent...and incorrect since it implies that any time not spent here would be spent editing. Most of us would spend the same amount of time editing regardless of whether or not we post here; it's not an either/or situation. Considering that many editors put in near full-time hours or more doing ODP-related tasks, suggesting that we're slacking off on our "duties" by posting here to help submitters is an insult.

In the case of your specific site, I would say no, please don't submit deeplinks to Topical categories. The thin content of your subpages would make them inappropriate for deeplinking -- you primarily provide links to other sites and that is not the purpose of the category you mention (nor indeed the purpose of most of the directory).

Let me guess. You're talking about Pars Times, right? Personally, its description doesn't look so bad to me (perhaps not exactly the way I'd word it but it does describe the site). I'd probably be unlikely to entertain your request for a description update myself but then we haven't yet seen what you'd like the description to be. That would only be noteworthy if he were abusing his position but his site actually has less of a description than yours.
-
Most likely not. Editors rarely notify a submitter to let them know the status of the submission. You can check back here in a month or two to ask about it again, though.

You're in the queue with a couple dozen sites.
-
I'll be honest and say I really don't think the site has enough content to warrant listing at all, let alone in the Web Portals category. You only offer a dozen or so links (including links to at least two of your own sites) and a search box from your personal page. That's extremely thin on the content even for a personal homepage. You are still in the queue, though, along with several hundred other sites. It will likely be some time before anyone actually reviews the site and my guess would be that the review will result in the deletion of the site.

Re: Help for changing the description If you're talking about showing up in Google search results, we have no control over when and how often Google updates its directory and/or search engine with ODP data. The RDF is out there. Google will grab it when they feel like it (usually once a month, I believe) and you'll eventually see your site there.

Quite right, uzs980. My bad. [Actually, http://www.brain-injury-law.com/ is listed in both the Society and Richmond categories right now].
-
You're currently waiting for review in the Richmond category.

Re: date format It's not actually that clear cut in Canada since we seem to use a combination of the two formats (some people use the "American" format and others use the dd-mm-yy format). I personally use dd-mm-yy and I'm constantly having to try to figure out whether a date like 12-07-02 is December 7 or July 12 (I tend to set up any databases I make to spell out the month so there's no confusion).
-
You're not planning on coming in here every couple of days to tell us you're not listed yet, are you? <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />

You're waiting for review along with a couple of dozen other sites (no, I don't know how much longer it will be before you're reviewed -- you're not the newest site but you're not the oldest, either).

Please don't start a new thread to check on a site you've already asked about -- please reuse the original thread. Thanks.

Re: http://www.cellular-phone-accessories-center.c Your site was deleted from the queue for http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Consumer_Electronics/Communications/Wireless/ (it doesn't belong there) -- it is currently awaiting review in the accessories/C category you originally submitted to.
-
Technically there is no "top" or "bottom" of the queue since editors can edit sites in any order they choose. Therefore, any indication we could give you of where your site is when the list is sorted by date is meaningless.
-
Re: http://www.cellular-phone-accessories-center.c DO NOT start new threads for a site you've already asked about here. Please confine remarks/questions to the existing thread. Thanks.

Re: re-submit www.art-and-portraits-by-margaret.co In the future, please don't start a new thread to tell us that you've resubmitted a site you just asked about -- reuse the original thread.

Re: status req: http://www.botox-cosmetic-surgery. In the future, please don't start new threads to ask about something you've already asked about -- reuse the original thread. You'll have to resubmit (I'd put a note in the description indicating that the previously unavailable stuff is up now). -
So what? I'm not sure what has to do with anything. We don't care what domains you're offering email accounts at or how many of them you have. Really, we don't. The domains have nothing to do with how and where your site will be listed. I see now that it's the fact that you're now waiting for review in the "Free" category at all that's bugging you, not the fact that you're in "F" in the free category. I see nothing on your site (other than one little line that says "free email accounts + ad free email accounts for responsible citizens") that indicates you offer anything but free accounts -- you don't give any pricing plans or other information about it so as far as we can see, you only offer free accounts. Which means you're waiting in the right category. Since you're comparing yourself to Yahoo, you'll notice that Yahoo is fairly obvious about the fact that they have free and paid email account options. Your site isn't.
