1. It has been some time now since I submitted my site for consideration and was wondering if there has been any change in the status of my submission? Thank you for your time.
2. I was wondering if my site is still waiting for review? Thank you for your time.
3. Re: Status of http://www.asmarteru.com/ I was wondering if my site has been reviewed. Thank you for your time.
4. Re: Status of http://www.asmarteru.com/ Thank you for your comments ... "where does it stand in the queue" referred to its status "in line to be reviewed" or "sorry, it’s been deleted".
5. Re: Status of http://www.asmarteru.com/ Sorry for having a bad day on my last post. With that said, I was wondering where my site stands in the queue? Thank you for your time.
6. Re: Status of http://www.asmarteru.com/ So what's the deal? It's been almost 9 months and I'm still waiting. Do I need to bring this up to somebody? Should I request a different cat? I know things take time ... but it shouldn't take more time to get listed in here then it does to create life! Just my 2 cents.
7. Re: Status of http://www.asmarteru.com/ Have I been "pushed" back again or just "pushed" around?
8. Re: Status of http://www.asmarteru.com/ Just checking to see if I'm still in the queue.
9. Re: Status of http://www.asmarteru.com/ It's a new year and 2 months later so I was wondering how my site looks in the queue? Thanks
10. Re: URL Rejected? >>To have your site "properly hosted" on a server (ie the IP address that the doman name points to is actually the IP address of the server that hosts your site) is not really expensive.<< The IP address for www.babyclassroom.com points to the IP address of the server that hosts the site which is Yahoo. So if your statement is true, then how is that a URL redirect? They registered the domain name, changed the IP records to point to the Yahoo server hosting the store - isn't that what you do to get your site online and running? Isn't that (simplified) how most people do it? Like I said before, it's not going to change anything and "rules are rules". Thank you for your time.
11. Re: URL Rejected? That might be true but, if you go to http://store.yahoo.com/babyclassroom and view the source, it has the same "redirect" as you call it also. That is something that Yahoo adds to everyone's storefront and it doesn't redirect to anywhere. You have your rules and thats fine, we all have to accept them in order to be listed here. I was just asking for clarification and will leave it at that. BTW ... don't all domain names point to somewhere else unless you have your own dedicated server?
12. Why would someone reject a submitted URL of www.babyclassroom.com and list it under www.store.yahoo.com/babyclassroom ? Do yahoo storeowners get penalized for this?
13. Hey ... hadn't thought of that. Yep, guess it wasn't anything to get excited over ... thanks for pointing that out. Not sure why the link didn't work. Just clicked it here in the forum and it worked for me (except I don't have a username or password because i'm not an editor ). Thanks for the help!
14. Here is the referring URL: http://dmoz.org/editors/editunrev.cgi?cat=Computers/Software/Educational/Resellers&site=38947 From the action I got when I clicked on the link, it asked for a Username & Password. Thought it might have been an Editor, thats all. Thanks for the update! I'll keep waiting patiently.
15. How long would it take for my site to get listed after an editor has reviewed it? Not in a hurry, just noticed that my site was visited by an editor about 10 days or so ago.
16. Hope it didn't get pushed too far back! Thanks again for all the help and information. I'm sure your all way over worked! Keep up the good efforts! Your making the internet a better place - for everyone
17. Well, just to save the editor some time, I resubmitted our site anyway . Took out the 1st person problem and think I did better with help from the link provided above. Thanks again for all the help!
18. Okay, I read the info in the link you provided and will resubmit. I'm just a tad bit nervous about doing this but I will give it a try. I just hope it doesn't put several more weeks on my submission. I am patient but one can only hold out for so long . Would be my luck I get someone in a bad mood and my submission pushes them over the edge
19. I was going to do something along that line except I didn't want to push my submission back any further that it already is as it stands. I have been working on getting my site listed for a while (not necessarily just here) so I didn't want to make things worse. Would it be better to wait until it does get listed and then submit a change request? Thank you for the info, I will read up on this some more!
20. Well, on another forum one of your editors gave a great example of what someone should NOT do when posting a request. Here was a comment he made: "Don't hype!!!. Hype is not allowed in listings, especially business listings. Totally forget about using words like "best", "biggest", "widest selection" etc. I spend more time removing hype from descriptions than any other single thing - and if I am feeling tired or lazy, it simply does not get done". I think when I listed (before reading this comment) I might have done that in my submission. Don't want somebody reading my submission to forget me or get too tired to "help". I am waiting patiently and hope I will have someone who is kind and take pitty on me!
21. Nothing else I can do but be patient! Thank you for your reply with this matter. I did some reading about submitting to DMOS "after" I had already submitted. Hope the editor has the heart to review and not skip my request. I think that I should have read about it first than made a better request. I didn't want to post my request again too soon after the first time.
22. Not sure how long ago (a few weeks maybe) I submitted our site to http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Educational/Resellers/ This section says that "This category needs an editor". Would that delay the review or keep it from being listed?
