No change in status. It's quite likely that this category and many thousands of others need editors, but it's better to have sites remain unreviewed and categories unattended than to assign editors that would in the end create more mess for someone to clean up after them. An editor who added any site in five seconds, probably would not last too long. [And since I answered 4 days before I should have, please wait till at least May 22 for another status request]

There is no automatic process to inform that an editor has reviewed your site, or as to whether it has been accepted. It is not possible to make reliable estimates as to when a site will get reviewed, it would involve too much guesswork as to what an editor is up to. I myself can't make a reliable estimate of whiat I'm doing, I might think I can take of a small number of unreviewed in category withiin a week, but something else comes up, perhaps an influx of spam in anther category, or I need to work on my "real" life.

1. Many companies can be listed once in Regional and once in non-Regional, if all the rules for those categories apply. 2. Some companies will not be listed in Regional, even though they are listed elewhere, since they are not considered to have a Regional interest - e.g. only online Shopping is provided 3. Some sites can only be listed in Regional, as they are only of interest to resident of a specific area. 4. Sites that are in more than one language may also be lsited in World categories, so in the case of a site in three languages, it might get quite a few listings in ODP. 5. Sites that have significant different content on the same site may get extra listings. For some categories where editors see a need to list more information, this rule may be interpreted more liberally. 6. For some sites, the multiple listing rules may be totally ignored as they are considered to provide a broad range of usefull content across many categories. This requires an agreement of several editors to make this decision.

You may already know this but it is listed in http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Texas/Localities/A/Arlington/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/ and is still waiting in the Shopping category.

Because it answers the question of the status of the site submission. You can be told that it's awaiting review, that it's been added, that it's been rejected. But nobody can foretell the future actions of a another volunteer editor and tell you when it's going to be reviewed. Even if you ask about a site in a category I edit in, I might have an estimate in my own mind about when I might get around to working on a site there, but I could be totally wrong, my priorities might change, I might stop editing for a while, anything might happen. I could not possibly tell you when I would add a site to the directory, for after I look at it it might need further thought and get put back in the heap. If I can't answer for the categories I work on, how can another editor read my mind

Obviously from your posts - you have no clue how the system works. PR has absolutely nothing to do with ODP, we don't make PR, we don't use PR. And there are sites that have been waiting two years - so nine months is not out of line. Why you choose to submit is your business, but ODP is not and never has been a web promotion business. How Google chooses to use ODP is none of our business, and you should complain to them if your are not happy with what they do. We are not Google. Besides which you already have your other website in ODP, and this is just a subdivision of it, If I was the editor - I'd delete this one and not list it.

I fully agree, since I edit in that area [Design/Basic]. There often are hundreds of sites all competing with each other, not that usefull from a marketing point of view. Submitters should always send web design sites to Regional as well.

Is my site in the queue (I have not reviewed the site or category) Assuming you submitted to the correct category in the first place: If you then submit to a different editor [i.e. category] then that editor will only end up moving the site to the correct category which will then replace the first submission you made.
