1. I'm not seeing any applications in the queue for this category so I assume it was rejected. I don't know exactly why it was rejected, but I think it would have been because that category is much too large for a new editor, and also because the category currently has an active editor in place.
2. Looks like this was answered in the other thread
3. This is a strange post to have in this forum. Why aren't you asking about this in the internal ODP forums?
4. You're updated
5. All I can really say is that you are still in the queue. It's almost impossible to give a time frame on when any app will be reviewed. Somewhere between a day, to any number of months. How's that for vague?
6. Good answers And both very correct. But not to worry as there are a few Metas who keep an active eye on applications for Games. They tend to get processed quickly when there aren't that many.
7. I think you might have submitted http://dosx.org/ which is still waiting to be reviewed. Once the editor reviews this they will probably change the URL to http://1s7.com/ which is your actual URL.
8. You're all set up for the Adult forum
9. I can see your application in the queue waiting to be reviewed. You're right about the length of time. And it could take longer. There is no way to tell. You won't be able to change the email address that you used in your application. If you do get approved, you will then be able to change the email address that you want to use.
10. Ok - you're set to go
11. You're updated
12. Ok - thanks for the information. It looks like your first application may be stuck in the system somewhere. I'll pass the info on to our technical person.
13. I was just thinking about this again. When you got the email saying that your application had been recieved, did you reply to that email? The first email that you recieve requires a reply so that the system can move it into the queue for processing.
14. Nothing there still, but I'll send this information to our technical person. It sounds like the old application is stuck in the system somewhere, but it's not showing up. This happpens sometimes.
15. I'm seeing one application in the queue for http://dmoz.org/World/Srpski/Posao/Firme/Dizajn/Web/ Nothing else for World/Srpski. Is that yours? This application was only submitted on Feb 6th, 2003.
16. I'm not even going to attempt to address each of these issues, as this type of discussion is always going to lead to arguments What I will say is that it's not always best to site examples from the directory. You're always going to be able to find cases that are either exceptions or are possibly misplaced. Sites do get placed in inappropriate categories. Some areas of the Regional branch also have exceptions. For example, Regional/North_America/United_States is very different from Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom. Also, editors are human and are not always as familiar with guidelines as we would like. When we spot these types of problems we can usually go in and fix the situation and point the editor in the right direction. So maybe quoting examples is a good thing since it lets us know where there are areas that need to be looked at As to where a site should be placed in Regional. You should try to follow the Regional Guidelines. There are exceptions to these too, but for the most part this is what we are going by. I hope that helps you to figure out where to submit your site within the Regional structure.
17. No application in the queue for that category, and nothing older than the beginning of January in the queue anyway. Better try again and make sure you read the FAQ and General Advice thread before you apply. A lot of good information there.
18. It was storme, and it's still in the queue. And for future reference to anyone reading this thread, there's an excellent resource right in this forum in the first thread posted by hildea called FAQ and General Advice. Read it, and read all of the referenced documentation for the answers to how to apply.
19. You're still in the queue.
20. Unfortunately the number of unreviewed sites has actually increased in that category
21. You're added
22. Ok
23. You now have access to the Adult forum
24. You should be seeing the Adult forum now
25. Nothing official, but DMOZ has been experiencing a few problems over the last few days. If you're a user you'll probably be able to browse through categories but you might experience problems submitting URLs. If you're an editor you'll probably experience difficulties logging into the system. And if you do manage to log in you may not be able to access the internal forums or you will have problems posting in the forums. I don't know much more than that, but thought I would post something here for maximum exposure so people will know what's going on and that people are working on it
