We no longer discuss individual websites here - which is why I've removed the URLs. In late 2006, AOL's servers suffered a major crash in which the huge majority of listing suggestions were lost. No harm will be done if you suggest your website once more.

Who are the people that check applications for becoming an editor? meta editors. Is it the same person every time? unlikely. Can i request someone else to review my application? No.
-
Firstly, thanks for re-using your existing thread - it makes our efforts so much easier . Yes, it's still awaiting review in Recreation/Autos/Image_Galleries. It's also awaiting review in Sports/Motorsports/News_and_Media (to where it was moved recently from the pool at Arts/Genres/Automotive) and UK/Recreation_and_Sports/Sports/Motorsport. We can't predict when these might be processed. If it hasn't been listed in 6 months, please ask again. There's no need to make further submissions.

I was merely trying to answer your question by pointing out that it isn't a queue. Sheesh. -

Yes it's still awaiting revue. Please don't think of it as a queue by the way - it's more of a heap which an editor can process in any order s/he chooses. I tend to do the easiest ones first for eample - ie. those with guidelines compliant titles and descriptions. -
There are fewer than ten suggested websites waiting there and yours is one of them. Please be patient, we'll get to it eventually but there's no way to predict when that will be.
-
It's still in the small pile of unreviewed sites. I can only advise patience.
-
It has been declined I'm afraid. I'm not able to discuss the reasons but the decision was made at senior level. There's not much point in resubmitting.

I didn't check the submissions in the Menorca category, but had you thought of submitting it to Peterborough where it is eligible for listing? -
Re: Application Re-Submit - is it possible But of course. No problem <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

"the sample URLs demonstrate how well you can do that." ... and also how well you can write descriptions for them <img src="/images/icons/smirk.gif" alt="" />.

This is ODP, not Google. If you meant http://dmoz/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Financial_Services/Personal_Finance/Mortgages/M ,then it's still in the queue. On previous submissions to various other categories, editors have declined to list it because much of the content is from elsewhere.
-
Since you're offering services only in the UK, you might also like to submit to the equivalent UK category.
-
You should have looked in http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Arts_and_Entertainment/Music/Instruments/Brass where it is also listed <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />.

Now why do I get the strange feeling that these are part of a large website spread over several domain names? Please read http://dmoz.org/add.html and you'll find that we don't encourage that sort of thing. Perhaps you could let us know the your level domain name. Something like http://get-everything.co.uk possibly. There might not be a problem listing that.

Interestingly, whilst clearing the rest of the category queue, I found the subdomain http://retail.workthing.com . It's root http://www.workthing.com is already listed appropriately, so that one's gone into the bit bucket also. I note that other editors declined good few other subdomains a few months ago. This is my advice to you. Before making any other submissions, please read our submission guidelines at http://dmoz.org/add.html . At the moment, you are wasting your time and ours and diverting scarce editorial effort away from productive work.
-
It was in a short queue until I discovered it to be part of Workthing. As such, it's not eligible for listing. Thanks for drawing it to our attention.
-
You've already submitted it to what you thought was the best category. There's no point moving it to a different queue - the next editor to pass by will likely just move it back again causing further delay. To repeat uzs980, this forum is a means of enquiry. It's not a means of applying pressure to get your website listed sooner.
-
The website has no ODP history, which means that no editor has yet processed it in any way. It isn't in the Spanish queue, but then it's not a Spain specific website either. It shouldn't be listed there. It is in the lengthy Europe/B&E/Real_Estate queue. I suggest that you take a few patience pills.

"The site is a new directory" I haven't checked when it was first submitted but we first declined it in early July 2002 so it must have been before then. "content would be filled in the site if it was listed" We are here to serve quality content to our surfers. We don't see it as a prime objective to help webmasters build their websites.

To add to Neil's accurate comments, we aren't criticising your expertise in the field. We'd love to have you there, but we need you to learn the craft of editing first. That's the main reason that we start newbies off with small categories. Why not apply for a regional category with say 50ish plus or minus listings - maybe your home town - to begin with? Once you've demonstrated your editing skills there, you can confidently apply for a larger role.
