Sorry to say, but that category is _very_ backlogged - more than 200 submissions waiiting. Yours is waiting there, too.

The submission is still waiting with a lot of others. Without looking at your site, just as a general comment: Please note that - especially in the gambling categories - affiliate farms are not listable.

DMOZ servers have a limitation regarding simulataneous accesses to prevent the server from overloading. maybe you could try another time of day, when its not so busy...

Sorry to say, but that category is extremely backloged. If you have a brick-and-mortar site you could try to submit a secnd listing to the apropriate categoriy in the town where you are based. A lot of the submissions in that category are waiting much longer than yours, some are from 2000.

Your site once was listed, until an editor discovered it was listed in the wrong category. Real estate agents are only listed in the locality where their office is. So it was moved to a new home. The editor who did this had no editing-permission at the target catregory, so he could not publish it at the new place. Right now it is waiting in Regional/Middle_East/Cyprus/Localities/Paphos/Business_and_Economy/Real_Estate for an editor to recheck and publish it.

I hate to disagree with fellow editors, but: Editors should only be judging sites by the actual content. We do not care about search engine spam or similar things as editors. If enough unique content is found on the site, it does not matter how it is formatted or which amount of spam the page contains. Anyway: Since this site still is a mirror site (or portal or however you call it), it wont be listed anyway. And please dont try: We dont hand out leavlets "How to make my site appear as if it was something unique"

Sorry to say, only two listings but lots of unreviewed entries - nothing chaned so far. Looks like a category that could really need a good editor to review all those entries people submitted...

Just as a sidenote: When I wanted to check if the site really is biligual, I was unable to open it in Opera6.05 - seemed like an endless loop or something, permanently reloading something.

Re 1) - If you want a quick review: Yes, it is. Anyway I wonder why people actually assume resubmission would do anything good. Most times the new submission will simply overrule the old one. Sometimes submissions are just added (what will lead to an editor having more work deleting lots of dupes before actually reviewing the last one - which would be something he does not like to do...) Re 2) Do not submit deeplinks. See our guidelines for more explanations on them. Re 3) - Your Site: I cant judge since I cant access it using Opera6.05 - It wont let me click anything above the baby names. If you have a bridge and mortar shop (looks a bit like it=) submit to your hometown.

Editors where unable to browse your site several times, so it got deleted from the queues (both of them). I cant confirm that myself, but Im using a fairly new browser with nearly everything possible installed.

As you could have checked yourself, all submissions in the alphabar are sorted by letter, according to the official title of the page. Since your site is called "Free Speech Email" acording to the URL and the copyright I think its the best place.

Well, we are sometimes even have problems with submitters phoning editors. Many experienced editors removed all personal information from their profile as a result. My own ODP mail address that I never used for anything else but ODP communication, that I never entered on any public page, now receives about 5 spam mails each day. I was rejected the first time, too. Next time I read the advices for new editors, choosed a smaller category and it worked.

It was moved to the more apropriate http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Accessories/Hangers where it waits for review since then. Not many sites waiting in such a specialized category. And for feedback: Editors dont have to answer feedback if they dont want to. I am a german shopping editor (For clothing <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" /> ) myself I dont answer any mail-requests for shopping-sites. Sorry to say, but there are lots of spammy people out there, driving us to such behaviour.

Hrm... Sorry for the stupid questionm, but: Which submission moderators? I dont know that we have some? <img src="/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" /> Anyway: 1) If the URL is not waiting there, you most likely got an error message when submitting or submitted somewhere else. That would mean you have to resubmit if that is the most apropriate category. 2) ODP editors as good as never send out any mail to submitters. Not for accepted, not for rejected sites. From our point of view Submitters help us to bild a fine directory, and not we are helping submitters in any way.
