Not very much to add to that what Mat said. Concentrate your content on one site and have that listed. You can split your content as often as you like, but please just submit your main site for inclusion in the ODP.

You have seen that there is a thread where you could have asked in you language? Anyway: Sorry to say, but the submission is still waiting for review. But the queue is rather short, so I guess the next editor reviewing sites in that area would get to it.

I assume the search database was reset by the HDD crash. Still listed, will reappear in search after the next weekly rebuild (might be slightly delayed due to follow-ups of the HDD crash)

You realized that thee is a german forum where you could ask in german? Anyway: Site is waiting in a really large queue of about 1000 sites. Sorry to say, bvut dont expect it to be listed soon.

Either by random (i.e. first submission) or by examining the site. Anyway, you dont really expect us to talk about "how do we detect mirrors" in the public, so that spammers would just have to read this forum for education, do you? Right. I didnt say it was deleted from the reviewed state, did I?

Since all editors are doing their work on a voluntary basis, noone is forced to do a minimum amount of work. So: No, there is no timeframe. Not even a wild guess. May be some days, may be some years.

Please follow the "wait one month before asking" rule you can find in the forum guidelines.

Sorry to say, but you are right: The category has a very large backlog. Your site is waiting among lots of others.

Of course, thats what this forum is made for :-) 1. No, it doesnt mean that. It was deleted for being a mirror of your main site. (Long before you posted btw.) 2. No 3. We cant give any timeframe. Editors are not bound to editing limits, all are volunteers, doing everything in their spare time. It depends on when an editor finds the time to work in the category where you submitted and if the editor thinks it is listable there.

Or in other words: Have a look at the descriptions already in the category. In most cases you could assume the stile is OK regarding ODP guidelines. If you think they aren't try looking in another category where you think a very active editor is working.

As the system told you when you submitted, the submission was caught by our filter. No need to worry, it meanwhile got halfway through the rechicking process and will be put back into the unreviewed queue of the category once it is finished. (In fact there are no other sites waiting in the category...)

Re: How About A Compromise Speaking general that already is the case. Editor applications can be changedby metas so that a new editor can for example be assigned a subcategory of the original one. Of course: 1) The application has to show that the editor could handle that - if the Meta thinks he would screw up a small category it can be as much work to clear it as the next category up. 2) The application has to show some region of interest. If you apply for widgets and you provide a side about blue widgets, one about disabled widgets and one Online-Shop for widgets, and your details (like affiliation, "why I want to be an editor", ...) dont show any specific regions of interest - the meta could not be sure to do you a favour. So he maybe would reject with the notice to look for a smaller category yourself. 3) The application should show that the guy wants to be an editor. The additional work has to be justified. Its of no use attracting bad or selfish editors that way.

As you could have seen in several threads in this forum, DMOZ has been down for technical reasons.
