There is an "Update URL" link at the top right of each category where you can suggest changes.

I did not look at the site, but if they sell office supplies, what does speak against Business/Consumer_Goods_and_Services/Office_Products/Supplies/ ? All the times we speak of "online shops" we mean selling to private customers, not B2B. State in the discription that it sells B2B only, so it wont be moved to Online-Shops by accident.

The submission is still waiting in a very small queue. And no, you wont get any mail if accepted or rejected. The ODP does not see it as the primary objective to list submitters sites but to supply a good directory. You may support the ODP with your submission. :-)

Yes. And at the amount of duplicate submissions we receive every day, a site thas is submitted to two categories is surely not considered as spam.

Such sites where discussed short ago. I dont know exactly if discussion about lead generator sites has already finished, but the last statement I remember is "Don't list". So this really does not make any difference to the ODP.

In Arts/Comics/Creators wurde sie abgelehnt, weil sie nicht englisch ist. In der deutschsprachigen Kategorie wartet sie darafu, dass ein Editor die Zeit findet, sie zu begutachten.

The "queue" is nothing linear, it is more a pool that can be sorted in many different ways, so ther is no placing. And because of the voluntary nature of editing, we cant promise any timeframe or give an educated guess, sorry.

We do not list sites which are designed as affiliate farms. Especially if they dont add usefull new content to a category. See the Guidelines, section "Not to include" for more details.

Ah, and btw: We do not list automatically translated sites anyway.

If you would have supplied the category in question, we could have a look... To the question Where does an editor get new sites from? In some parts of the directory, loads of sites are submitted by users. There you will never have a problem. In other parts (usually the noncommercial ones) editors have to search for sites. Use Search-Engines to look for new entries. Find link-lists on other sites and look if you can use some of the sites linked there. In fact very often the most usefull categories to the end user are those where an editor searched for sites and listed them. Usually, if no new entries for a category can be found, it is a sign that the category does not need an editor. Someone already did the work and found all entries. If applying to be an editor of course you cant use sites already submitted. So its best to start with a category you can find some sites and have fun building. Maybe your hometown or something related with your hobbies.

No change yet. A position cannot be given, since the queue is not necessarily sorted in any particular order. Lots of submissions are already awaiting review longer than yours.

1) What is so difficult in the guide for adding sites which states: "Choose the single best category"? Submitting to dozends of totally unrelated categories will not do you any good. 2) Apart from that editors had access problems and felt its not the apropriate category. Result: Submission not accepted.

Hrm... Very unlikely that you submitted to that category. Submissions are disabled there :-) Your URL has not yet been touched by any editor - whereever you submitted.
