We submitted our site: http://www.1-rated-british-smoked-foods-salmon-balsamic-caviar-vinegar.com to the Top: Shopping: Food: Specialty and Gourmet catagory, and I just realized that there is no editor assigned here. Can someone tell me if our site was reviewed and if we should have submitted the site to a different section that has an editor? Thanks in advance! :/images/dmoz/purplegrin.gif Jeff

I'm personally not at all fond of listing any URL which has the format you use.
http://dmoz.org/add.html says to submit the site to the ONE most appropriate category (editor listed or not).

The site is still waiting in the unreviewed queue, and hasn't been touched yet. Unfortunately, the queue is rather long, so you will probably have to wait quite a while. /images/icons/frown.gif

From a (brief) look at your site, you have submitted to the most appropriate category - congrats! /images/icons/smile.gif If you submit to another cat, the editor there will simply have to forward the site to the right one (where it is already waiting). Shopping/Food/Specialty_and_Gourmet/ can be edited by editors listed at Shopping/Food/ and Shopping/, as well as all editors with editall permissions.

Yes, hildea said that it is in the que to be reviewed, but that the que is rather long and that it would be awhile.

You could also try submitting to Regional/.../Winnipeg/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Food/ - often we allow sites to be listed once in Regional/ and once elsewhere. The submission queue is very short there (perhaps only a few days).

If this company doesn't have a storefront in Winnipeg, it won't get a Regional listing.

I disagree. While this debate should be restricted to the internal ODP fora, I will say that considering Amazon.com is listed in the Seattle Shopping category this site should be no different.
