A question about who decides if a site is relevant or not I put forward a domain may 2009 it is I believe useful (I have nothing to do with this site) Searched the terms <URL terms removed>, <URL terms removed> with the appropriate <URL REMOVED> (Tried searching entire directory) using the above terms it finds nothing...?

It offers health and safety, advice, news safety requirement etc, of all gas installed within the uk for those that don't know...

Am I missing the point in respect of suggest a site?
Shouldn't a directory be relevant and at least up to date ish...? Io have any real credibility or usefullness ..

Could someone explain me why it has not been included...

Because no editor has decided that the suggested sites for that category are at the top of his/her priority list? Editors edit where, when, and how they choose (within our guidelines). They get to choose what category they edit at any given time, how much time they want to spend on editing activities, and what activities they actually perform while editing. Assuming someone decides that they want to edit in the category where you've suggested your site, reviewing sites that have been suggested by non-editors is just one of the many editing activities they can do in that category.

Perhaps. From our point of view, the purpose of the Suggest URL link is to allow people to bring sites to an editor's attention. It is in no way a promise or guarantee that the suggestion will be reviewed, in a specific time frame or even at all.

Ideally, it would be great if every single category was full and up-to-date with every listable site that exists and that belongs in that category reviewed and listed immediately upon its discovery. Unfortunately, that's never going to happen with a volunteer workforce such as the one we have. Unless and until someone takes an interest in a particular category, it will wait for the day that someone does. It's the nature of the beast.

It surprised me I assume others had suggested it..? When you see categories for people, working with, training and installing gas etc but the official url of the governing body of everyone who has gas within the uk should no about… (It’s a legal requirement everyone who installs/ works with gas in the uk be registered to it..?) And helps people who use the registry in making choice of url’s within categories a safe one not included was puzzling..?

Apologies for including the generic term / name within previous post just didn’t know how to show I’d searched and it was missing without including it…

Thanks for taking the time to answer my query

I suspect that hutch didn't understand "And helps people who use the registry in making choice of url’s within categories a safe one not included was puzzling..?"

Neither did I. If you're suggesting that we should promptly list all suggested websites, motsa has already explained to you why this is unlikely to happen.
