Moved from Arts/Visual_Arts/Drawing/Artists (unrev) to Arts/Visual_Arts/Multiple_Media_Artists (unrev) back in early June. Yes, that's early June 2002.

Unfortunately, it still means your site is waiting to be reviewed.

They are not talking about this June I'm sure it was probably last year, June. I dont care what catagory I am listed in I just really NEED to get my site in DMOZ. My sites content alows for really 4 different catagorise of topics. Motorcycles, Cars, Fine Art, Blacksmithing. I have looked into deeplinking but was told to modify my whole site to do that. I dont have the time for that. I've applied to almost all of the above relevent catagories for over a year. Is there an appropriate catagory that I can aply to for my site that actually has an editor that will review my site and add it? I know that everyone has to wait for site submission but really over a year??? Please send me in the right direction, any one ...or help!

Careful... Getting grumpy won't improve the situation. You got an honest answer, and that's all we promise.

I note that this particular submission was received at ODP on December 15, 2001. That's not a year. Why exaggerate?

Some general advice on how to help your own submissions along:

* Submit to the most appropriate category.

* Propose a title and description that you think an editor will be able to approve as-is, even if it does not include all of the keyword-stuffing you would find optimal.

* Be careful not to add scripts which crash browsers. An editor whose browser hangs or crashes upon review of a site is apt to leave it in unreviewed.

Earlier post about this site:
http://www.resource-zone.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=submissions&Number=2324&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1

I see that you have reorganized the site some. The contact info and purchase info pages help a lot. Definitely submit your site to http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/New_York/Localities/G/Gowanda/Business_and_Economy/ which should be an easy placement.

I suspect that the site still doesn't meet the "Shopping" standards, since it is really geared more towards custom work. However, if you can find another site in an appropriate category that is similar in scope of offerings to yours (i.e. a competitor), you could try submitting there.
