I understand in the rules that it says, "Do not submit any site with an address that redirects to another address", but what about 301 Redirects?

If I submit an address that has other domains redirecting towards it, then this shouldn't be a problem, correct? Technically it's not redirecting to another address, rather other addresses are redirecting towards it.

Correct. Sunmit the URL all others are redirecting to. Don't submit the 301 redirects, though.

And for the sake of completeness: Apart from the above rule, we want people to submit www.mydomain.com instead of www.mydomain.com/index.htm for very obvious reasons, even though this is a redirect. I don't think this is a necessary comment for you, but it might well be one for other readers

Thank you for the quick responses. Now that is one checkmark off of my list to determine what I did wrong submitting websites in March 2004 and August 2005.

If you don't know you did anything wrong submitting sites, then there's no reason to believe that you did anything wrong. In a very competitive, or highly spammed, topic, then you wouldn't expect quick responses from any well-prioritized web indexer -- whether automated spider or human editor. So those submittals may still be waiting editor attention.
