a little help please.

I just applied to be an editor in a local section (Windsor, UK). After having grown up here all my life, I was secretly confident I would get the chance to work on it.

However I was rather bemused when I got the reply saying I didn't get in. The note put at the bottom read:-

Former editors must use the re-instatment form. Re-instatement of removed editors is very, very unlikely.

I have never been an editor before and I don't know why they should think I have. Now I can't figure out what to do!? Anyone?


Edit - the username I used was Ossys

Someone else musta used that name already. Call yourself something else (ossys2, if your imagination-bone is really overworked), and mention that you have no connection with presumed former editor "ossys", but that the "Sys" surname is very common in Belungistan, and it's not your fault your parents really named you "Orville Stanley" (or whatever).
