A question about why I cannot get listed

Hello. I have a question. I have been trying to get my site listed in the following category for somewhere between 2 and 3 years now.

I am wondering if the reason my site is never added is because the same band has another site already listed here? The site listed there now is called "Smith Brothers". It is an older and very much outdated site now. The webmaster of that site still updates the schedule but nothing else. I am the band's active webmaster and my site is very current and updated regularly. I have submitted various titles for it over the years but have never called it simply "Smith Brothers" since that is already there. My preference would be "Smith Brothers Band" but I am not necessarily married to that title. I would just really like to get our site listed.

Due to the fact that the old site is listed, it has been on page one of Google for years and people who search for Smith Brothers find that site but not the current one which is most often on page two. With a listing here it would at least move up to the same page and be found by the fans.

Anyway, is that the reason my site has never been listed?

We can't tell you why your site isn't listed without giving you a status check, which we no longer do. The most common reason, though, for a listable, suggested site to not yet be listed is simply that no one has gotten around to reviewing it yet.

Well that at least sounds like there is still hope. Thank you for your help and quick response.
