Hello, its good to be on this forum.

Earlier today I ran a search in dmoz for my webpage, and could not find it, so I "suggested" it for registration. Howerver, I later found that it actually was in the database.

Is there any way I can notify the people at dmoz that I meant not to spam their database, or try to pull one over on them?

I don't want to be penalized.

Thanks!

1. Two submissions does not a spammer make. (We know dmoz search doesn't work -- I often use google search of dmoz.org to find whether a site is listed.)

2. If you REALLY want to help us, you can resubmit the same URL, to the same category, with the same title, using the same submitter's E-mail address, but with a description "[already listed -- sorry to bother you]". (I decline to indicate whether all of those being the same is necessary for the second submission to overwrite the first, but it would probably be sufficient.)

Others editors can indicate whether that would be appreciated by them, but I wouldn't mind, in the categories I actively edit.

thanks!

Ok, thank you very much.

I cannot remember the exact info that I submitted...should I just wait it out then?

Thanks again!

Don't worry too much. You have to submit the site at least THREE times before we send the RIAA after your children.
