adding Birthday.co.uk to the directory

Hi all.

I have just submitted my new site http://www.birthday.co.uk to the directory

i think i submitted it to http://www.dmoz.com/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Gifts/ but not sure

sorry

please can anyone tell me how long does it take to get listed and is the dmoz directory very important to be in if i want the search engines to index my sites successfully.

I hope someone can guide me on this.

Nobody can tell you if or when your site will be listed. It can take anywhere from 10 minutes to over 3 years. Thank you for your suggestion but please keep in mind that it is only a suggestion and the ODP is not interested how any website gets indexed or ranked in search engines. Please read the FAQ section (link at top of page).
