Hello

I have submitted my website to Europe/regional/business_and_economy/real-estate/ roughly about 6 months ago, I was not listed on the update on 30th October 06, I can understand this, please could anyone let me know if there is a massive pool of url's waiting for inclusion, this category is perfect for me as I have a very high profile domain name that fits perfectly as well as the site of course.

Should I resubmit, wait or try and find another lower category.

Thank you very much.

We no longer provide that sort of information here. Either your website is awaiting evaluation in that category or it isn't. If it isn't, you can't currently suggest it again because that functionality has not yet been enabled again. The announcement at the top of the forum will be updated when the situation changes but we can't predict when that might be..

You can check the site suggestion rate for yourself by doing a Google search on "Real-estate Europe" and seeing how many spammers target those terms -- roughly the same population spams the ODP.

Real estate sites are listed in the smallest geographic category that contains the real estate agent's office (or, if a firm, multiple offices.) You may suggest the site to that category, if (as is likely) the site doesn't represent a multinational firm and therefore doesn't belong in the continental category.

You can't suggest sites right now anyway (read the announcement); which is not a big deal: if you don't ever suggest the site again, the editor will find the right category for it. Now that may take longer--so we don't mind the resuggestion, because it might save time.

In that category, you would have to have a real estate business with a physical presence in the form of offices a client can visit, in more than one European country - if you do, then I agree that the category is the correct one, and you should certainly not suggest it to any other category.

If you only have a presence in one country but with physical offices in many cities in that country, you can suggest your site to the real estate category for that country. Otherwise you should always send the real estate website to the one locality where the office is located. (And the information has to be found on the site itself, of course.)

How many sites have been suggested for review to a specific category is not information we provide. At the moment it is not possible to suggest sites at all; once that functionality returns, you may if you like suggest the site again -- once -- to the one most relevant category; doing that probably won't delay your site review. Thank you!

Look, you already know the domain name, right?

And you already know what city the offices are in, right?

What's the problem?

Right.

But I can see one listing that is there (There are only 5) that is France and UK based, how does that qualify for all of Europe?

I am going to sit and wait anyway! Thanks for the comments.

What would be the smallest geographical category that contains offices in both, both, say, Le Mans and Brighton?
