After some months and patience, I finally got my site listed on DMOZ. Unfortunately, the description is ambiguous and may lead people to believe my site is about gambling and offering information to gamblers, which it is not.

I entered a request for the listing to be amended, but it is still the same (I have had 3 or 4 emails from people in the States wanting to set up "an account" for online gaming.

Does anyone know how long this can take to change? Or if any editors can pm me and offer to help, that would be fantastic.

Many thanks

We do not offer personalized 'edit on demand' service here.

You have done your part, which is to suggest an updated description. Usually those are priority editing actions.

There are a few caveats:

1. the description reflects what the editor finds on the websiter descriptions are designed to aid surfers and are not intended to promote sites. when it comes to writing descriptions, "plain vanilla" is often quite good.
