Ok, I checked my tracker and it says (http://editors.dmoz.org/editors/edi...nd_Teens/Entertainment/Animation/Anime/Naruto)

I see the pages he visited. He only spent two minutes on my site (www.Narutokun.net) I already know my site was reviewed (with in 2 mins going to one page). I checked the directory and im not there still, so Im guessing I was rejected? If their is a log he writes, I would like to know why he rejected me, if he did reject the site. So i can improve it. AND so I can resubmit the site. you can check out the site here...

Your logs mean absolutely, totally nothing in this context. There are dozens of reasons for the log entry, none of which have anything to do with listing/rejection or anything else.

Since we do not do status check, there is really nothing else we can tell you.

Yeah

It actually does, because it said that someone from that URL, came to the site. referr* So someone that was in the editors login locked area click a link or came from there. Basicly is says someone who had the user and password of that directory which is an editor was browsing my site. Who else would come from there. You need a username and password to get in.

get my drift.

OKAY from an editor point of view, when an editor visits a site, and accept the site, how long will it generate? the next google listing update? or right away.

Believe us - that it means nothing - you would have to know which editor visited the site and what he was doing at the time in order to know.

I routinely visit sites that I am not able to review. I also routinely visit sites that I am able to review, but do not actaully review them at that time.

I also often visit sites while removing multiple submissions and doing general maintenance.

You are simply incorrect.

It could easily have been one of the tools that an editor uses to check for bad links. That is what I mean when I say that it means nothing. It absolutely, positively does not mean that a human editor eyeballed your site with the intent of reviewing it. You are ssuming that there is only one reason that your logs would show an entry, and that is where you are going astray.

Get my drift?

As to your last question, from an editor's point of view, once a site is listed, it is listed. Sure, at some point it goes from the editor side to the public site, and that happens on a regular basis. As far as google or any other downstream user goes, it is entirely up to them when they choose to pick up the most recent RDF. You'd have to ask them.

ok

I get both your drifts, Alright, if it was a tool it browsed 9 pages, I wouldn't guess it is a tool, since tools only check the main page and exit on the main page. but you also said that it could be other reasons. So thanks anyway. I guess I'll submit it again some other time, I guess 4 months? thats how much confidence I have in getting into the directory.

When I use to have a dragonball site, I was getting 10,000 unique hits daily, the editors just refused to add me, sooo much original content. Until one day, I finaly made it on the first page in google for the main keyword, I was crazed lol, I checked the dmoz and I was finaly listed. I seriously dont know why im telling this story but okay, lol.

You editors have a nice day.

Why would you suggest the site again.
Once a suggestion is received (and as the site has been accessed from DMOZ it seems clear to me it is) there are 2 options:
1) it will be listed
2) it will not be listed
In both cases there is totalt no reason to suggest it again.
The only problem you might be seeing (for us it isn't a probkem at all) is the fact that you (and we) don't know when it will be reviewed.

If you suggest the site again when it is stall waiting review there is a big chance you will negatively influence the waiting time.
If you suggest the site again after it is already rejected you might be marked as a spammer.

Sometimes when I look at a site, I consider that it might be listable, but have some nagging doubt about something. I'll mull on it for a week or two, hoping that maybe something that will push the decision either way will come up when I am surfing and reviewing other sites. Maybe I'll come back to it and finish the review of the site some days or weeks later.
