An editor has visited the site, but not approved listing

Hi

A Dmoz editor has visited our site <URL removed> but we are not yet listed on the Dmoz search engine.

I know we have been visited because a referal from the Dmoz editors domain was stored in our log files.

I have followed the guidelines and submitted to the correct category. Can anyone help and tell me where I might be going wrong? I have been trying to get listed for some months.

I have submitted our site again today, hoping to get reviewed again soon'ish.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately you cannot tell whether the editor actually reviewed the site or not. I've just come back from holiday and I've been whizzing through a list of suggested sites just checking whether they are good or not, clearing out the spam and moving others o the right categories. My visits to the 'good' suggestions were just to confirm that they were genuine. Something like that may have happened.

If your suggestion was moved, resuggesting does not help at all, otherwise it would have just overwritten your previous suggestion.

I'm afraid waits of 'months' is chickenfeed, it can take a long time (and, no, there is no way to speed it up ) .

You do not mention which category you suggested to, but you would be allowed one regional locality suggestion if you have a bricks and mortar address that people would expect to contact you with as well as the topical suggestion (presumably a Business/.../florist category).

Having made the suggestions, forget about them, the site will eventually be listed or not.
