Hi,

I think that there may be an issue with the captcha on your "add" page.

The whole “add” page loads, but the status bar at the bottom shows “downloading from https://captcha.aol.com.....” but the image never arrives. As a result, no “add” function can occur.

I've tried with ie7, ie6 and firefox to no avail.

Love the directory, and therefore always interested in keeping it successful.

Thanks

David

I just tried it and the Captcha image loaded fine for me. Try again and if it is still a problem post back here with some more details. :)

It works fine for me too (FF3.5)

I've tried disabling various features but the only way I can lose it is to disable images. Even then, I still get the Can't read this text? - Play Audio button.

More on the Captcha

Can anyone confirm the validity of the AOL Certificate, as we notice the following error when we attempt to download the captcha image by itself:

Code:
Resolving captcha.aol.com... 64.12.135.233
Connecting to captcha.aol.com|64.12.135.233|:443... connected.
ERROR: cannot verify captcha.aol.com's certificate, issued by `/C=US/ST=Virginia
/L=Dulles/O=America Online Inc./CN=AOL Member CA':
Self-signed certificate encountered.
To connect to captcha.aol.com insecurely, use `--no-check-certificate'.

That server and the images are not intended to be accessed from outside webpages associated with AOL. It is a security issue.

The captcha is also working fine for me. (Google Chrome 2.0)
I would advise to clear your browser cache and try again.

Workaround

Thanks for all the information. As it happens, there is something in our firewall's policy that is effecting images from sites with security certificate errors.

We have been able to test by deactivating that profile, at which time it works - so we will create an edited profile that works.

Again, thanks for your assistance!
