We started our business almost a year ago and I've been trying to get listed in the directory since July 2001 with no success. We are Advanced Packaging Group, www.apgcases.com. Our competitors are in Top/Business/Industries/Manufacturing/Packaging/Containers/Carrying Cases & Shipping Containers. Advanced Packaging, Inc. is there in the list but that is not us and I wonder if that has been keeping us out, thinking maybe it's the same company. Who knows. Recently resubmitted the site for review to Top/Business/Industries/Manufacturing/Packaging/Distributors/Containers. What can you tell me? Help please! If there is something about the site keeping it out I would sure like to get educated. Thanks!

Either it's a big backlog of site submissions, or else the editors who could edit there are avoiding it (hey, it happens). Your site hasn't been "touched" by anyone at all.

Yow, that sections's knee-deep! I would try to entice you into becoming an editor, but a new editor wouldn't be started on most of those categories.
But if you would like to edit, we have lots of lovely hobby categories, and towns...

The category you submitted to has very little backlog. Are you a packaging distributor? Which other categories did you submit to in the past?

Yes, we are a manufacturer's distributor just like everyone else in those categories, particularly the first one, Carrying Cases & Shipping Containers. Just trying to get in with the rest is all, you know.

Not shocked, I tell ya. When I first submitted there it had two editors who soon disappeared. I wrote them, no avail. I'd settle for a No, you know, or suggestions. Thought something was wrong with the site.

Yeah, I think I might apply here shortly. I did apply to edit my category but it was an obvious conflict of interest; I thought that was what they wanted me to do in the instructions. I guess not. Got turned down of course. Never thought of doing something different though. That could be cool. Thanks!

Oh, good - when you're ready to apply, go over to the "Become and Editor" forum and ask about the categories you're interested in. Someone can tell you which ones are suitable for a new editor.
