Hi,

I just apply for the category http://www.dmoz.org/World/Bahasa_Melayu/

I am wondering should I use English for all fields of the application form other then url title and description?

I used local language (Bahasa Melayu) in all fields on the application I made on 17 Feb 2011, no response yet. Should I use English to apply again? (I understood that I have to wait 14 days before checking my status here but I just wanted to know if I should use local (Bahasa Melayu) in the application form)

Many thanks for the effort of setting up this place and appreciate if you could help me.

It's best if the application is entirely in the language of the requested category. Please don't apply again until your current application has been processed. This might be a while because not many meta editors understand Bahasa_Melayu.

The whole of Bahasa_Melayu is much too large for a beginner. Fortunately, you requested a subcategory of it :).

Thanks Jim :) I will wait in this case. The previous Bahasa_Melayu editor has gone inactive hence I think I could contribute starting from sub category.

I'm going to respectfully disagree slightly with Jim. For an application for a non-English category for which Google translate isn't particularly good (or is non-existent), it's helpful to fill in the fields using both the language of the category and English as there may be very few meta editors capable of reading such applications without using a translation tool like Google.

That is actually what is worrying me. In that case can one of you reject my application so that I can reapply? This time with English translation as well.

Hi can any senior mod do that for me? I am willing to reapply with English translation as I understand not many meta editor (maybe none?) understood Bahasa Melayu.

(I am good with both English and Bahasa Melayu)

I've removed it from the pool awaiting evaluation. You are now free to apply again.

Thanks Jim! I just reapply with English translation.

Hopefully one of you guys can review my application soon and I can join the big family.

Is my application still in evaluation?

Just wondering, previously in "Bahasa Melayu" there's an active editor but he's has gone inactive and his account is deleted by now I think.

What if there's no on in the senior editor group who actually understand Bahasa Melayu? :( I took all the effort to put in the English Translation hence would really appreciate if some of the senior will help here.
