Dear DMOZ Staff,
Is this true: The ODP is a non-commercial organization that was established in the spirit of the Open Source movement?
I am very eager to become an editor in little Russian branch of DMOZ - Top: World: Russian: Игры: Компьютерные игры: Старые игры, but get denial.
The same was when i tried to apply for an English branch - Top: Games: Video Games: Downloads: Collections, which has no editor at all.
I have a great deal of Internet experience and time to become a part of DMOZ.
As webmaster/programmer I have created variety of collectors/fans sites, which i included in my application form.
I apply my sites to DMOZ almost every year - and get no result.
But sometimes I get email, where I am advised to put some links/banners on my sites to be allowed in DMOZ.
So, should i follow these emails, sell my site spaces for getting in DMOZ?
Then why I see these words: "We promise to keep the distribution of ODP data, and the submission process to this data, entirely free." in Social Contract?
Thanks in advance.
PS: Is it really possible to apply to category, if editor owns a competitor site?
