Application Status Check

About a week ago I submitted an editor application for the below category, but I am uncertain if my application was received.

*I replied to the ODP email containing the "key" but I did not receive a response after that -- so I am uncertain if my application was received. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There is no application in the queue for this editor name or for this category, and I've no way of knowing whether it has been denied since denied apps are not archived... If it's been denied, you should normally have received a standard rejection letter, with or without specific comments. It's very rare when we don't send one. Please try again, after having read the FAQ at the top of this forum if you didn't already.

Actually, it's extremely doubtful that you'd be accepted to that category due to the spam and abuse issues involved with it. I'd apply for something else.

I just sent in the second application as tuisp suggested, but I'll keep in mind that it will most likely be rejected as marisa1116 mentioned.

It took me a while to type out the application so that is why I tried a second time before I give up altogether and look for a new category.

You have mail. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> There are plenty of great categories in need of good editors but the one you applied for really takes a careful eye and some in depth knowledge of the directory's ontology and listing criteria. I hope you decide to apply for a different category.
