I assume that you mean http://dmoz.org/Computers/Robotics/Competitions/FIRST_Robotics_Competition/Teams as we don't do Google :)

Did you receive an e-mail with a confirmation number? Did you reply to that? When did you apply? I'm not seeing any applications for that category.

I'm not sure that that would be the best category to be applying for. There is already an editor there and I'm not sure that there would be a lot of work for two editors.

I applied about a month ago, and never received any confirmation. Perhaps something went wrong. The reason I'm applying to be an editor is that there are more than 1000 teams (presumably most have websites) in the FIRST competition, and only 21 listed in the directory.

When scouting teams for information on their robots I think it'd be helpful to have a list of all the teams in 1 place. In addition, sites like 'Chiefdelphi.com' should be highlighted at the top because of their great usefulness to team members (forums and other resources there)

Sorry about the google link. Perhaps I should reapply.

edit: I visited the dmoz link, and it says "ERROR: The requested url cannot be retrieved" Something about an access denied problem. Maybe it'll work itself out by the time you see this anyway.

You should probably try to apply again. If there is still an application waiting for e-mail confirmation the system is not going to let you apply with the same e-mail address that you did the first time. There are some problems with the servers this week so you might want to wait until next week, or just be persistant. I would suggest saving all of the information that you enter into the application in some type of text document in case there are system problems while you are applying.

OK, thanks for the help donald.

edit: I tried applying, got a 60 second timeout error, but to my delight about 5 minutes later received an email with a confirmation request.
